Chapter thirty seven.

Emily's POV.

The morning sun peeked through the curtains of my bedroom window, indicating the dawn of a new day.

My heart pounded against my chest as I took slow steps towards the bathroom, an observable fear lingering in my every move.

It was the finally the day fo the meeting and I couldn't be more nervous.

I knew I needed to impress him.

After gradually grooming myself, I turned around and headed out.

My gaze suddenly fell on Adrian, I could tell he was headed towards my room.

His face lit up in a wide smile as our gazes met.

"Wow Emily, you look absolutely stunning," he said, his voice a warm caress that seemed to somehow melt away my fear. "I can see the nervousness in your eyes," he chuckled.

"I can't help it Adrian,"

"Trust me, you're going to be amazing. You're well prepared and quite natural at this,"

I smiled shyly, letting the warmth of his words wash over me. "Thank you, Adrian, but I'm still nervous."
