Chapter fifty four.

Liam's POV.

A month flew by, with Nichole still at my house, with the baby.

As much as I tried to be accommodating towards her and the baby, my emotions failed me. I was literally living my worst life and I couldn't take it anymore.

"Nichole, do you have a minute?" I asked walking into her room.

"Yes, please sit,"

"I'd rather stand," I replied.

I watched as her face crumpled into a frown.

"I have gotten a place for you, well furnished, it's a conducive environment to raise our child," I began.

"What? We are living just fine here," she chirped in.

"Nichole, we are not married, you can't live here,"

"But I thought..."

"That I will decide to marry you once you bear a child for me? Is that what you thought?" I cut her off quickly.

"Liam..."

"I'm not getting married to you Nichole, I will take full responsibility for my child and I'll try to visit as frequently as I can,"

"Please don't do this Liam," tears rolled down her cheeks.

WHAT? THIS MAKES NO SENSE. Is he intellectually challenged? Does he need a state appointed guardian? How is marriage the solution to being a bad father? The leaps in logic here are so outlandish that they break the reader's immersion in the story. Well, I guess I'm just as dumb for paying for it
