DALA

“Someone called 911?”

I hissed a sigh of relief, “Kai sent you?”

With a half-shrug, Kael responded, “You could say so. Come on, let’s go.”

The more time I spent looking at Kael, the more I recognized that all three of them were vaguely different, and this time, I didn’t mean personality-wise. That subtle exterior and demeanor made it easy to tell who was who, and for Kael right now, he was…meek.

It was so gentle and tender that one would think twice before reaching out to touch him, as if scared to taint his skin. Kael had none of the feistiness of Kai or the ruggedness of Knox.

“You might burn a hole into my skin,” He gently said, not a single raise to his voice. “Are you done shopping?”

Blinking rapidly, I forced my gaze away. “I’m sorry. It’s just…” My voice trailed. “Yes. Yes, I am done.”

I caught something like a smirk on his face, disappearing in a nanosecond. Kael rarely smiled or talked, and because the silence was too awkward, I just wanted to keep talki

KNOX“Looks like you’re healing nicely,” Kael called out from behind me. Of course, I was healing nicely— one of the perks of being an Alpha. Our healing speed couldn’t be contended with. Still, I had no idea why he’d come all the way to the rooftop. I didn’t need company. With the same level of sass he’d spoken with, I responded, “Aren’t you the nice chauffeur? The mate bond must have you on hooks.”Being on the roof meant the horrible him coming in with the Omega, offering to help her carry all that stuff like a damn fool was perfectly displayed before my face. The girl was becoming a magnet, and this only increased my urge to ridicule her. Couldn’t they see right through her? “It costs nothing to be kind, Knox.” Without another word, Kael settled on the pink plastic chair. A brief moment of silence followed, but I could feel it coming.I knew my brother so well that his thoughts weren’t alien to me. Through the telepathy link, his voice resounded in my head, heavy, ‘You didn’t

DALAI should have kept my mouth shut because Knox now stared at me like he’d seen a ghost, eyes darting uncontrollably.Did I do something wrong? The ache between my thighs wasn’t going away, and I was more than ready to risk it all. I needed him right now, bad. But Knox withdrew from me, though I couldn’t read his expression. That rush and hunger were no longer visible in him; rather, he looked retired, a hint of boredom now clouding his expression.I knew I should have shut the hell up. I sat up, my eyes beholding him as my breath quickened. “What?”He tucked his cock back into his pants, the print still very much obvious. It was almost impossible to tear my eyes away. What the hell was going on?“What happened?” I asked again, impatience sliding into my tone as I waddled to the edge of the bed.“Put on your clothes and get out, Omega,” Knox instructed without breaking a sweat. His words felt like a slap across my face.My expression contorted into a frown, I stood up, bordering be

DALAAs if existing wasn’t hard enough, I had to go to school. Today. “Wow! You really are nailing this student look!” Arya commented as I stepped into her room in my uniform. It looked prettier than I thought. The white shirt fit me like a glove, with a pleated skirt and vest of the same dark green shade— the same colour as the pack’s logo. Though I loved it, it didn’t make sense for a college to have uniforms.Lochavia was just too extra. Every single thing about this place felt over the top.Offering a small smile, I carefully placed a tray of fruit salad on the small wooden table next to her bed.Her hair still looked rough and tangled from sleeping well—at least someone slept well. For some reason, Arya wouldn’t take her eyes off me, which only heightened my anxiety.Internally, I already had much to say about my appearance, so her unblinking eyes weren’t making it easy. “Did you sleep well?” I asked, momentarily drifting my gaze to her bulging stomach that jutted from the blank

DALA“What?” I was beyond shocked, my jaw slacked. That wasn’t a question— it was a straight up accusation. “What did you just say to me?”He snickered, still looking at me without a single readable emotion on his face. The judgment in his tone wasn’t obvious in his expression at all. Then simply, Vander turned, fixing his airpods back like he hadn’t just insulted my entire existence. Why was I offended, though? He wasn’t far from the truth, but hearing him utter it felt like a slap.Without thinking, I yanked the airpod out of his right ear. “What did you just say to me?” I quizzed, anger lacing my words.I just wanted to know if he’d seen something or if Knox had said something inappropriate about me. My pride was hanging in the balance. Vander’s gaze hardened, wandering between my face and his airpod within my fingertips. He let out a deep, frustrated sigh. “Don’t piss me off,” he growled lowly. “Why has the question gotten you so worked up if it's false?”“Are you fucking kidding

  • Let The Alphas Fall For You   018: New Foe, One Friend

DALA “Watch where you are going.” I barely had time to process the impact before I stumbled back, nearly losing my balance. I had straight walked into a firm, broad chest of a young man. Fear grazed my spine. One would think this was a meet-cute until I blinked up, and my stomach instantly twisted into knots. A pair of sharp brown eyes burned down at me, filled with the kind of disgust that made my blood pressure skyrocket. The arrogantly good-looking dude ogled me as I had just crawled out of the sewer and flung myself at him. His chiselled jaw tightened, contorting his expression into pure coldness and scorn. Just a minute now, and I might just sink into the ground. This person was barely restraining himself from shoving me into another dimension. “Are you blind?” he asked, his deep voice cutting through my last thread of patience. My cheeks heated up, and I was stuck between yelling and apologizing. It was true that I bumped into him, but why was he being so goddamn ru

  • Let The Alphas Fall For You   019: Exploring Trouble

DALA The lecture was torture. And not the ‘Ugh, I hate this subject’ kind. No, no. This was the ‘Why am I here? Who did I offend in my past life?’ type of suffering. Professor Xavier—because apparently, that was his actual title—stood at the front of the room, looking like he’d rather be anywhere but here, which was ironic considering I was thinking the same thing. He went on and on, his deep voice droning over topics I wasn’t even sure existed before today. If I wasn’t trying so hard not to attract attention, I would’ve laid my head on my desk and accepted my fate. There were only a few students, which made it worse. There was no place to hide. Every time Xavier’s sharp gaze swept over the room, I felt like a criminal under trial. Then, as if the universe hadn’t done enough, he said the words that made my stomach drop. “You will each meet me in my office before the week runs out to get my signature on your enrollment file. No exceptions.” Oh. Great. The only thing worse th

VANDERIt had been a long time since I’d been behind the wheel, and damn, had I missed it. This…was where I could be myself, not within the stifling walls of that house. The moment my foot hit the gas, I felt that familiar high. The world blurred past in streaks of green, and the hum of the engine sent a thrill straight through me. This was the kind of thing that made me feel alive. No pretense, no fake smiles, no expectations. Just the open road, the car, and my hands wrapped around the wheel like I owned the world. Except. I didn’t own the world. I owned nothing. In the passenger seat, Dala was clutching her seatbelt like it was a damn rosary, looking at me like I was about to drive us straight into a ditch.“Vander!” she yelped, her voice pitching as I swerved past a slow-moving truck with barely a foot of space between us. “I’d really, really appreciate it if you didn’t have us scraped off the pavement today.”I smirked, not slowing in the slightest. “Where’s the fun in that?”“T

  • Let The Alphas Fall For You   021: Help from “Above”

DALAThe rain sure had comedic timing, calling a ceasefire as soon as it was time to go. I stepped outside the diner, and there was a limousine. An actual black, stretch, windows-too-dark-to-see-anything-inside limousine— same as this morning. My brain screeched to a halt, my mind on autopilot as I gawked hard, blinking again before turning on my heels to Knox, who had a perfectly crafted smile gracing his face.“Really? What’s this?” Knox stood beside it, casually tucking his hands in his pockets, like this wasn’t the most obnoxious display of wealth I’d seen up close, probably second to them having a whole private classroom. His thin, red…luscious lips (if you were me, you’d stare too. He’s stupidly attractive) curled into an infuriatingly smug smile. “Your chariot, obviously.”“You brought a whole limo?” I gestured at it like I needed someone else to confirm I wasn’t hallucinating. “For what? To pick up little ol’ me?”Kai, who stood by the door, snorted, barely looking up from

DALAThe Alpha’s words still rang in my ears like a slap. Apparently, no, worse than the slap he gave Vander. It crashed into me in slow motion, and my vision was blurred by my tears, slowly trickling down my cheeks. He was sending me back. Back to a house that had never felt like home and to Aunt Claudette, who always looked at me like I was a burden she was stuck with.“Please!” I cried desperately, running to the Alpha before he could get to the awaiting vehicle.Desperation was the thing I understood and felt in that second. My knees moved before I could stop them, and I dropped to the cold floor with a hard thud that could have cost me my bones.“Please,” I whispered, my voice barely a thread. “I can’t go back. I didn’t mean to hurt Lady Arya. I didn’t know she—” My voice cracked. “Please don’t send me back.”He kept walking, disregarding my existence. “Please!” I called louder, scrambling closer. I grabbed the fabric of his trousers, clinging like a child, begging not to be le

KAELMy head hurts. That was the first thing I registered— this wicked, throbbing pain behind my eyes like my brain had been tossed around in a blender overnight. I groaned and shifted under the sheets. It wasn’t my room. That much was clear. My eyes cracked open, and the ceiling above me came into view, completely unfamiliar. My mouth tasted like bad decisions and tequila, and I sat up slowly because any faster and my skull might actually implode. I was shirtless, just boxers. Great. This must be one of Knox’s hotels. How I ended up here? I had no idea. I glanced to my left and nearly jumped out of my skin when someone squirmed in the space beside me. Looking closer, I realized it was Gabriel, the last person I’d expect to be here.My best friend, since always. Since matching superhero costumes and sleepovers where we’d talked about crushes—his on Jason from track, mine on no one in particular. I stared hard. He was still asleep, curled slightly toward my side of the bed. I blink

VANDERThe second the doors slammed open, I knew. I knew from the way the air shifted that it was him. I could feel it from the way his eyes locked straight onto me without hesitation that he wasn’t wondering who to blame. He already knew.My father had already decided. I barely had time to brace myself before his boots thundered across the tile, and then his arm swung at me so hard that I almost lost my footing. The slap was brutal. A full swing, palm wide, strength precise. My head jerked sideways, my vision flashing white for half a second. The sting spread across my jaw like wildfire, and I tasted blood.A gasp ripped from Dala’s throat. I straightened slowly, locking my jaw, not because I wasn’t hurt but because I refused to give him the satisfaction of seeing it.“What the hell is wrong with you?” His voice roared through the hospital.“Did you come back just to destroy everything again?”I winced. The words hit harder than the slap. Destroy everything? “You’re barely back fro

KAI I frantically looked around like someone would magically appear with a solution. Arya slumped heavier against me, muttering the same thing. “I can’t feel my baby…” Shit. I didn’t have time. I scooped her into my arms and raced toward the entrance, weaving through the crowd and ignoring how everyone turned their heads like I was the drama they’d been waiting for. “Hey, you really gonna be fine,” I assured her even though the words just slid off the top of my tongue like a recitation. Confusion had its claws deep around my throat, and fear made every step I took heavier than it should have been. My phone buzzed in my pocket. Dala or Vander, maybe, but I couldn’t stop. I reached the parking lot and scanned the cars like a madman. It would take minutes to call my driver, which was precisely what I didn’t have. Arya’s warm arms tightly wrapped around my neck, tears spilling from her eyes. In seconds, my gaze fell upon a silver convertible with a group of girls lounging insi

  • Let The Alphas Fall For You   030: Arya’s Trouble

KAINancy finally peeled herself off me with a flirty little, “Don’t go too far,” before disappearing toward the restroom, blowing me a kiss I had already had enough of for one night.I exhaled hard, finally able to catch my breath and move a muscle without Nancy breathing down my neck or pressing her perfumed tits into my face. She was not exactly annoying. She was… fine, just little too everywhere all the time like glitter, and had worn enough perfume for all the ladies in here. I was debating whether I had time to ghost her before she came back when two very familiar faces cut through the blur of sequins and smoke. Knox didn’t believe me when I said Vander could have an angle with this Omega. He should totally see them now.The vision cleared out, and their full faces came into view. Dala, looking pale and spooked as she’d just been chased through a cemetery, locked eyes with me first. “Have you seen Arya?” she asked urgently.“Arya? What? Wait, Arya’s here?” I looked at Vander,

  • Let The Alphas Fall For You   029: Ruin

DALAThis wasn't a panicked grab of someone flailing for safety. Nope. This grip was confident and intentional. The kind of handhold that said, I knew exactly where you were, and I waited for the lights to go out just to be extra dramatic about it.I didn’t need to see his face or the lights because only one person would drag me into the shadows like this and act like it was perfectly normal—Knox.“You,” I said flatly, still half-blind as my heels skidded over the marble floor. “Do you ever enter a room like a normal person?”His voice burst into the dark. “You look…decent, Omega.” I blinked, still trying to adjust my vision. “Excuse me?”“You don’t look like a maid,” he added, as if that somehow clarified the compliment and not terrified me even more. My cheeks burned, and I looked away. Great. I’d officially reached the highest level of praise in Knox Erymor’s vocabulary. “Wow. My self-esteem just grew legs and ran straight into traffic,” I muttered. The lights hadn’t come back on

DALAThe guard raised a mask like it was some royal invitation, but I shook my head with the firmest “no thank you” I’d ever mustered.“Compulsory,” he grunted, like I’d just committed a federal crime.“I said no,” I repeated, firmer this time, heat already creeping up my neck. I didn’t care if it was compulsory. I wasn’t about to walk into a mystery party with my identity outed. Ayra stepped up before I could work myself into a full-blown argument. “If she doesn’t want it, then she doesn’t want it,” she snapped, standing in front of me.“She has to wear—”“She doesn’t have to do anything,” Arya snapped again, her thin voice edged with venom. “I suggest you figure out who I am before you lose your job over a stupid mask.”The guard blinked, his eyes locking onto hers, yet he zoned out. It was obvious that he was calculating, probably doing some mental search like is this the Lady Arya? The one married to the old Alpha?A few seconds passed, and his eyes widened a little with recognit

DALA Who knew bribery would bring out some decency in him? In no time did we settled in the car. Arya and I occupied the backseat. She wouldn’t stop humming a happy tune while anxiety gripped me like a vice, unwilling to let go. I had never been to a party like this one before. The school was barely welcoming, not to mention a party with little to no supervision. “Who’s genius idea was it to sneak out?” Vander asked, igniting the engine. The promise of that bike really did make him chatty. I wasn’t being judgmental— or maybe I was, but his sudden interest in whatever this was was questionable. “Joint effort,” Arya responded, flashing me a mischievous smile that my lips was too stiff to respond. She looked and acted more childlike today, and I liked it for her. Through the rearview mirror, Vander met my eyes, and my stomach jerked before I could tear my gaze away from his. The corner of his lips lifted slightly. Perhaps I had seen wrong. “I want nothing to do with this

DALAI did not see myself in a high-end boutique with Lady Arya, flipping through racks of dresses that probably cost more than my entire life savings. Yet here we were. The smell of expensive perfume clung so tightly that I choked. My mind reeled whenever I saw a price tag, but Lady Arya reacted utterly differently. She was in her element, floating between sections, plucking designer gowns from hangers and draping them over her arm like they weighed nothing. The store attendants practically tripped over themselves, trying to please her. I, on the other hand, felt like a fish out of water. How could I even pick a thing here? “This one,” Lady Arya declared, grinning as she held up a floor-length emerald gown against me. “Or…no, maybe this one! Do you like it?” She swapped it out for a shimmery gold dress that looked like it belonged at a royal ball.We were NOT attending a royal ball. I arched my brow, perplexed. “You do realize I’m only going to a school party. Not the Oscars?”L
