Jess
I looked in the mirror and bit my lower lip. We weren’t there at all. I wanted to cry.
When I bought that outfit that afternoon, I thought it was the right size, I thought it would be good for me and now, looking in the mirror, I wasn’t so sure.
My bra was tight and my breasts were squeezed too much and it came out in part from the cup, the thong was tiny and it was confused with my huge ass. It was not good at all. I put on the lace robe, trying to cover the flabby belly that I could see.
Maybe it wasn’t a good idea. Deep down, I didn’t want Andrew to see me naked, not when my body sucked so bad at me. I didn’t want him to see that mess I’d become, if that meant no sex for months, I would.
Tears came to my eyes but I tried to push them back.
After I left the kids with Nate and Maya, I texted Andrew to ask him what time he was coming back, and he told me he was coming back for dinner, s
Maya I sighed and looked at the ceiling again, it was the umpteenth time when I turned around in bed that night, I had not been able to close my eye in the slightest, even though the children had all slept. I could not find a comfortable position in which to relax and close my eyes, every time I turned around something hurt me and I could not close my eyes. I snorted for the umpteenth time and I turned to Nate who slept happily next to me. During the night he had tried to hug me several times but, considering that I could not stand still, he had given up and had put himself back in his place and now he was blissfully sleeping on his side, one hand under his kitchen and the other resting next to me, Like making sure I stayed by his side. I looked at him for a moment, his face so relaxed that it looked angelic, his hair ruffled and some strands ended up on his forehead. His bare, muscular chest drew my attention as he rose and fell wit
Lucas"I understand your reasons, Mr Miller and Mr Lee, but you must understand that for these cases there are many requirements to be met, and we as social workers must make the right assessments to be sure to whom the minor will be entrusted, We cannot allow him to be placed in a family situation that is damaging, we always care about the child’s welfare," said the social worker, adjusting the spectacle frames on his nose.I snorted and he set it on fire with his eyes. Did he really want to fuck with me?Devon, beside me, laid a hand on my thigh, feeling the nervousness that my body was radiating and trying to calm me down."With all due respect, Mrs Green, we have already had a taste of how you deal with minors, our friends have had an unpleasant setback with you, perhaps you know them since you have been sued to pay the consequences of your actions, I’m sure Mr Dare will be more than happy to participate in the discussion on these
LucasI looked in the direction of that thud and I was stuck staring at the scene in front of my eyes.It took me three seconds to realize the situation then I moved, running towards the figure on the ground. Devon must have seen me because he immediately got out of the car and followed me.I knelt next to the girl who groaned in pain holding a hand on her swollen abdomen while under her a pool of blood had formed."What’s going on?" Devon asked, leaning over to the other side of the girl."I don’t know, I heard a noise and then I saw her," I said looking at him, "Hey baby," I said, "How can we help you?" I asked, trying to stay calm. The girl must not have been more than sixteen, she was petite, with red hair that fell on her back and blue eyes like those of a lake that had some shades of green here and there. The girl looked at me completely terrified, tears running down her cheeks covered with freck
WARNING: everything included in this chapter does not reflect reality but is the fruit of my inventiveness. Bye!LucasBy now we were in that room for at least seventeen hours, the night had come and the first lights of dawn were seen from the window while the girl, Madison, was lying on the bed, with her hands clinging to the sides while she took deep breaths. Her face was reddened and her red hair was sticking to her forehead. The night before his grandmother, Mrs Morgan had arrived bringing clean clothes for her niece. The lady had thanked us for having helped her niece and had asked us the favor to be close to her as she could not, being tachycardic. So Devon and I had armed ourselves with courage and stood by her, helping and supporting her through labour that seemed like it would never end.Mrs Morgan had been in the waiting room all night while Devon and I stayed at Madison&rsqu
LucasI left the room and closed the door behind me, Madison didn’t want to reason with anyone, she had it in her head that we had to adopt her children and she didn’t want to accept anyone’s suggestions.I watched as Devon put his hand over his face, sighing."What do you think?" I asked him with my back to the door.Devon looked up and looked me in the eye, "I don’t know, that’s all we ever wanted, but I feel bad thinking that she’s not going to have anything and we’re going to have everything," he said."She took this choice long before she met you," Mrs Green said to our side. The social worker left the room just before, to answer the phone while we talked to Madison. She had told us about her life, about the fact that her parents were separated and both had remarried and she had stayed with her mother and her new husband. When she found out that she was pregnant, her mother becam
MayaI got dizzy, and I grabbed the table while I kept my phone in my ear."May?" Jess asked me, getting up and coming right next to me, I handed her the phone and sat down."Please don’t tell me someone’s dying because Maya’s going to pass out," Jess said on the phone. She remained silent for a moment, waiting for Lucas to answer, and when he arrived, Jess yelled "WHAT?!" Chaos broke out, all the children began to cry in despair."Luc what does that mean?" and she waited, "What do you mean you’re going to explain tonight?! No, Lucas doesn’t work like that! But what the fuck does that mean?! Of course we’re coming, okay, dress in blue, okay, license, bye," she said and then hung up.Did she start angry and end up like a lamb as was possible?"So?" I asked, taking water."Take the computer May, we have a license to ask," Jess said as he sat down."Excuse me? What the hell
MayaWe walked into a room in the maternity ward. Jess and I were diligently following Lucas who, strangely by his standards, was dressed casually unlike Jess who thought he was doing a fashion show."Don’t look at me like that, May," Jess said, admonishing me."You’re out of line in a hospital," I said."But at least I have class," she replied, moving her hair behind her shoulders in a dramatic gesture.I rolled my eyes as Lucas opened the door to the room and walked in. Jess and I followed him.In the room, sitting on the bed there was a girl, long red hair was tied in a high tail, freckles covered her face, and blue and green eyes were pointed at Lucas the moment I entered. Next to her was an elderly woman, leaning on a stick, her eyes looking like the girl’s, caressing her back gently."Jess, May, this is Madison," Lucas said, introducing himself. The girl looked at us and nodded her head, before
NateI parked the car in front of Maya’s parents' house while she sat next to me and puffed nonstop. It was Christmas Day and we had decided to spend the day at her parents' house while the night before we had been to my parents, but Maya did not agree. She woke up that morning and decided she didn’t want to move, she didn’t even want to get out of bed.I had woken up, washed and prepared, then I had stopped by to set up and prepare Axel and in the meantime, Maya had gone back to sleep. When I returned to my room I found her between the pillows and wrapped her in a duvet that slept happily. I had placed Axel on the bed and he had slowly approached his mother, then put his head next to hers and begin to fill her with kisses until she woke up.I shook my head and turned off the engine while Maya complained."Remind me why we didn’t have lunch at our house," she said."Because otherwise, you’d have to cook yourse
