I had just managed to write this chapter cause I was down yesterday. Not because I was sick but because of the comment I saw on my friend's story, the insult was ridiculous! How can someone sit, and read someone's work... Without knowing how many hours it took her to fix that particular chapter just to satisfy her readers, and someone who thinks she's in her right mind will criticize her. Telling her her writing is bunch of garbage. God! I was so sad, I hope my readers wouldn't be like this. If you find fault in any chapter, just leave a nice comment and drop your opinion of what you think could've been better. Or better still, stop reading ! Do not bring someone's hard work down just because it wasn't as you wanted it. It makes you a Karen and a bully.. I love y'all!
AUDREY'S POV Unlike what I could imagine myself saying, staying indoors has been obliterating boring and overbearing. while I had enjoyed the company of May in the cabin, Unending questions and being the main source of my desire to leave this place. Right now I had gotten the opportunity to prepare a meal for her. While the servants who takes cares of the kitchen had refused me entrance, somehow I have find my way into the kitchen to fix a meal for May. I shouldn't bother about mine, cause I know I wasn't getting any food. Bradley told me Layla gave him something to do, and he'll be away tonight to finish it up. Other times, I could have argued and be suspicious of him , but this time, I had said okay to him almost immediately. I was glad, because with him not saying in the room with me gives me the chance to give May shelter and she can sleep.“no…please..don..!”There it was again. The way she had kept turning and tossing and then the nightmare. I have not seen her sleeping peac
“ I'm sorry. I am truly sorry. I did not mean to scare you like that and neither did I need to fight you.’’May begged approaching me with a more reasonable and Slow Movement.“ fight me? You just beat the s*** out of me.” I respond watching the little laughter that she forms before slowly approaching. I scoot back down on the bed, setting my legs on the cold floor. She sits right beside me but she keeps a little distance like she was still afraid of something. Not something but someone and while I was sure that I wasn't the person she was scared of, my mind could not help but wonder what had truly made her this way.‘I'm just always on the edge whenever I'm sleeping. I have been trained to always be alert. to be vigilant of any dangers. that's why any sudden movements wake me up and I'm always prepared.’’‘ prepared for what?’ I cannot help but ask, watching as she let out a breath. She looked at me for a painstakingly long.. As if setting my eyes for a non-existent answer. something
"Alpha. I heard from a warrior that May was spotted in the servant quarters ." Martin announced and he could see just how much joy the Alpha had been.Hercules had been excited hearing that his sister was at least seen, but in a servant quarters?! As much as he could tell, May wasn't the type that visits the servant quarters even while their mother was still working there. He had made plans of visiting the servant quarters today anyways. He haven't had in mind of searching for May there but he had wanted to see Audrey, he needed to know how things was being run. He wouldn't want anyone to hurt her no matter how much he hated her. She belongs to him, and only him have the right of giving her a punishment whatsoever. "Lead me to the quarters then." His voice have as usual been strong and hold so much authority, just as Hercules had always wanted. He wanted his voice to be heard and respected as well, be feared. It creates the honour for him to let everyone know that he owns the pac
AUDREY'S POV Alpha Hercules finally let go of my hands once we were away from the eyes of people. I almost shitted on my pants looking at that angry look he wore. "What do you think you're doing?". He questioned. I have tried so much to understand what I did wrong to him this time. Back when he meet me in the wood and asked me to return to my quarters and not come back, all I had done was to obey him and do as he said. I couldn't think of any thing I have done wrong to him. But each time I think about May, I grow scared. I wondered if the Alpha figured out it was me who took May in and decided to keep her for the night. Hercules wouldn't care to hear the reason why I have done what i did, all he will want to so was to punish me straight away. I prayed him dragging me here wasn't going to be about May, his sister. "My Alpha.... I have no idea what you're talking about. I didn't do anything wrong." "The boy... The boy you were laughing with, what was so funny that you have to s
The Alpha isn't anyone you could just mess with and expect him to keep quiet. But Audrey's words had seem to left him quiet for a while, when Alpha Hercules regained himself he begin walking back to his palace and only then did he saw Martin approaching him. "My Alpha. Is everything okay?" Martin asked. The expression of his Alpha is something he haven't seen in his entire existence next to the Alpha. He looked like someone who just got a taste of his own medicine. But as much as he knew, Alpha Hercules couldn't have been like this because of Audrey. If so, then he'll hate her more for making his Alpha look this weak and miserable. He wondered what was holding him back in rejecting her and getting himself a Luna. While he had watched Audrey left, even tho her Aura wasn't bad, there was something about her. Something that might have seem powerful about her that was yet unlocked. But maybe, he's only over thinking things. When Alpha Hercules didn't reply to his question immediat
"May!" Hercules called out and here come a chuckle from her which she covered up immediately and approached the Alpha who stood up at once to pull her into a hug. Just when he had thought his evening is ruined, his sister came running to him. She'll always be the light of his world, coming to him right the time he needed her the most. He was more than happy seeing her right now, the thoughts of her getting hurt or being taken away under his nose was terrifying. All thanks to his Mother who had assured him that she'll come around, and ofcourse it had seem she was right after all. "Where have you been?"When he disengaged from the hug, this was the question he asked her as he went on to sit on his throne dragging her with him and making her sit on his laps. May will never outgrown the love he has for her. He'll continue treating her as a baby because she was the only person in this world he will kill for. She was the best thing that had happened to him. "I was away, I heard you wor
AUDREY'S POV It was Morning, a new day to carry out my daily task that doesn't seem to go away and instead increase. When I look by my side and didn't see Bradley, that was when I remembered that he left and I'm going to keep waking up every morning without seeing him. It's 4am and the usual time I wake up to start my work. I arranged my mattress before leaving my room. Bumping into Bradley almost immediately, he had seem to be heading somewhere. Somewhere that he had to pass my room first before he reaches. "Good Morning, Bradley!" I greeted him but he had only glance at me and walk away. I turned to look at him, only his back as he walks on without looking back at me. I didn't need anyone to tell me that he is mad at me and this behavior of his might continue for a while. But I didn't care or I didn't want to care. It wasn't like I made him leave, if he have issue with the Alpha's order then he should go and talk to Layla or to the Alpha himself. Talk about the Alpha. I was
AUDREY'S POV Back at my quarters, Layla approaches me immediately she saw me entering. I was ready to take in her beating and her yelling but surprisingly, none of this come. "Where have you gone to, Audrey? ""No where." I returned, I wasn't just going to tell her that I meet the Alpha's Gamma and sat to talk about something unreasonable with him. "Over there, you need to make two baskets immediately. I forgot to tell you about it yesterday, so, quick! Off you go. "Before I could ask her questions, she was already gone. Making baskets wasn't my task, it had never been. Although I know how to make them and I'm sure Layla had seen me helping one of the servants do it back in the days. I wondered what was the matter of urgency that she needed me to do it. But I had nothing to say, not like my opinion is going to matter. And so, I climbed to a not so high hill beside Layla's cabin, which is where baskets are made. She had wanted it near her cabin so she can keep a close eye. I
