Chapter 108: Callan

Callan POV

A ringing in my ear let me know that I was still alive. Shouts were muffled in the distance as my vision came to. The SUV was on it’s side where glas shards were littered everywhere. Leaning on Seraphina’s side of the car, making it so my seatbelt was the only thing holding me in my seat.

Finally when my vision focused, I saw blood dribbling down the side of face as the rest of her body lay limp on the door that was crushed under the SUV’s weight.

I coughed. “Sera, baby!” I called out to her. I received no response making my anxiety spike. “Seraphina!” I yelled while placing a hand on her shoulder. She was knocked out cold. Sheer panic began to course through my body when the smell of gasoline permeated my senses.

I attempted to unbuckle, but the buckle seemed to stuck in the clipping mechanism. I let out a growl of frustration before extending my claws. Just as I went to slice through the fabric I realized this was a terrible idea. If I cut the seatbelt I would land di
