ANNIE'S POV

One month has passed since I started working as the P. A to the CEO of the Dicosta corporations. My relationship with Leonardo has also progressed a lot this past week and we were still pretending to be strangers at work but lovers at home. I do spend some of the nights at his mansion. I have a room in his mansion since I have refused to sleep In his room as part of his punishment, I want to be sure he has changed before we take the next step in our relationship. For the past weeks, I've not seen or heard anything about Isabella so I guess he is serious about the change he spoke to me about. Surprisingly Leonardo has a room in our mansion so he came around anytime and he spends some of the nights at our place. He is also my bodyguard and my driver, he drives me to work and drives me home every day. My brother Luca has been busy with work so I hardly see him at home.

This is your coffee sir, I placed my boss's early morning coffee on his table, but he was on the phone and did not respond, and neither did he look my way, that's strange because no matter what he is doing he will nod his head. I left his office to mine without saying a word.

Miss. Johnson, my office now! He ordered harshly through the intercom. I want all the files on Dickson and co. Company on my table right away. I went through the files in his office and picked the files he asked me to bring to him, I placed the files on his table, here you go sir. "Now you may get out of my office now," He said nonchalantly.

I sat quietly in my office, I was trying to go through a report and summarise it but I couldn't concentrate on what I was doing, what is going on with Leonardo? Yesterday he did not drive me home but asked a different driver to drive me home. This morning, I was almost late because I was waiting for him but he didn't show up and he didn't answer my call, so I asked mike to drive me to work. I don't understand his change of attitude towards me. If this is what he wants then I will keep things strictly business between us.

It has been a week since Leonardo's change of attitude towards me, I've stopped sleeping at his place and I've had to stop riding in his car, not that he cares. He asked one of the company's to drive me to work and my house after work but I told him I prefer mike and he did not say anything. But his strange behaviour is really affecting me, am no longer happy and my elder brother is hardly at home, he's always busy at work. I told my friend Lena everything that is going on in my life except the mafia part and she has been, of great help, she sometimes spends the night at our mansion to keep me company in the big house. She wants us to visit the club today since today is Friday, today Leonardo left early without saying a word to me, I only saw him through the glass window in my office, I've never been to the club and I am I don't know to feel about it. After work, Mike came to pick me up from work and upon reaching home, my brother was waiting for me in the office, he asked the maids to inform me that he is in the office waiting for me. I ran to the office in the mansion, I'd missed my brother soo much, I've not seen him in days. I did not knock on the door, I just opened the door and entered. My brother was busy going through some documents with dark circles under his eyes. I walk to him and hugged him tightly, I miss you so much. I miss you too Princess. Am sorry I've not been able to spend much time with you these few days, there is soo much going on in the company that needed my attention, is there any way I can help? No everything is ok now, I walked and sat on a chair facing the big mahogany desk. Luca, I heard you saying on the phone that you've fired your assistant, He nodded his head. Can you please employ my best friend Lena? I will do anything for you Annie but she will be vicento's secretary when he returned and when he is going back to Italy or any other country, she will go with him. Can she do it? He asked, yes she will. She is a very hard-working girl but I have a favour, I will encourage her to apply so that you let her go through all the procedures if she passes then you employ her if she doesn't then there is no need to employ her. I agree with you, Annie. He got up from his chair and sat on the table facing me. Annie," I am going on a business trip today", he said. I sit in my chair without saying anything, how long? I asked him and he replied, two weeks to one month but it will depend I might return after two weeks. I was trying to hold back my tears but I couldn't, I started wiping before realising it. Annie, would you like to go to Italy with our parents? Do you know why dad doesn't want you to come yet, they want you to bond with Leonardo and if you go to Italy, Dad might not allow you to come back to California, Dad is a very jealous man, he might not let you go. Letting you stay away is the hardest decision of his life but that is what mum wanted for you so dad must comply. I started laughing, it means he can't say no to mum? "Yes, he can't say no to you as well. I will be back in no time. Vicento will come and concerning your friend's job, the position will be published next week so tell her to check our website frequently so that she doesn't miss the opportunity". My brother led me out of the office, he was ready a long time ago I guess he was waiting for me to return from work, he spoke to me about my safety again, he told me someone is after my life and they are still looking for the mastermind so I should be careful, I told him that I want to visit the club with my friend but for safety seek he asked mike and another guy I don't know, to go with us. when I was ready At 8 pm, I called Lena to inform her that we are on our way to her house. I asked mike to drive to her house to pick her up. Mike and the other guy called frank looked so hot, Mike drove us to the club, a very nice and classy club, before stepping out, mike handed me a gun which I declined but he told me, I will need it for my safety, he put the gun in the pocket of my petty jeans coat with fur, I decided to put on a short hot black dress with thigh high stretch boot.Mike waited for frank and Lena to get down before putting the gun in my pocket. He told me not to worry about the bouncers so I obey him, we entered the busy room that is filled with people. He took us to the bar area of the club, I told the bar attendant I want one shot of tequila. Lena took three at the spot the two men took a beer, and I know they were not drinking, Lena dragged me to the dance floor to dance, and I started dancing and swinging my hips to the sound of the music, about an hour on the dance floor, I told Lena I was visiting the washroom.
