The third hour had arrived. All the students were on the campus, sitting on the green grass in front of the stage, waiting for everything to begin. They were eager to see their fellow students sing or perhaps make a fool of themselves. The principal had climbed onto the stage, asking for attention and offering words of encouragement to all the participants. He applauded the entire student body as they began calling the contestants.

Helena stood on one side of the other students, letting out a sigh when she saw the snow-haired boy ascend the stage. Internally, she was thankful; she thought he might not go up after what Rebekah had told her, which she had intuited from Melia.

"He changed the theme of his song," Fox's voice made her look to her side.

"He's not going to sing the one he mentioned?" Helena asked. Rebekah and Fox shook their heads. "It can't be... I handed the director what he would sing."
