She walked out of the ballroom, it was almost dusky outside indicating the evening had invited the dark night as cold air hit her bare skin. She regretted not wearing her cardigan but again she needed to get back to the ballroom and tolerate this cold to fresh her mood. The mighty Dark walkers had not arrived yet but her mind was stuck on her Alpha’s deception and her missing brother.
She didn't see Noami around, she could imagine her sulking and crying in the corner of her home over her mate. For once, Allison was tempted to go to her and join hands to hunt for their missing males.Naomi was a strong wolf and could help her in her hunt. Other two more warriors who were missing, their family didn't care and assumed them dead. But not Allison and Naomi.
“Ali, what are you doing here?” Allison heard Sebastian’s voice and clenched her jaws instinctively. She looked at him, the Alpha's son. It was ironic how her gaze seemed hard and her perception about him changed totally. He looked at how she was hugging herself to provide some warmth to her body. He took off his jacket and put it on her shoulders before guiding her inside, ignoring the emitting rage from her. For him she was just a naive, harmless and innocent human girl.
“It's cold outside, you shouldn't be wandering around in the chilling weather. Come on now! Also that King has just reached so let's get you in...” He murmured the last sentence under his breath. Allison looked up to his brooding face, it was evident he doesn't like the dark walker. She didn't miss the bitterness when he addressed the king.
They got back to the ballroom hall and he guided her to the vacant table to relax for a while before grabbing their drinks. Allison was already frustrated and wanted nothing more than to run from those filthy people. But she had to wait until this shit over otherwise her Alpha would eat her alive for missing like this.Tears formed in her beautiful eyes and unconsciously she rubbed the green stone adorning her neck, reminiscing her family’s memories. How they were happy together a few years ago and everything got shattered a few days ago in a day. She was left alone in this dark world. She remembered how her brother kissed her forehead, encouraging her to be brave and strong before leaving. She was the apple of their eyes. The little princess!
Allison was so lost in her thoughts that she missed the pin-drop silence around her when the sound of footsteps hit the shining floor startling everyone about the powerful aura radiating through the ballroom hall.
A man walked inside through the middle of the empty hall, people scurrying back in fear and intimidation. His walk oozed power and superiority. His tall majestic figure was encircled in an all-black suit with black combat boots and a black cloak covering his muscular body leaving the people to wonder with imagination.
Alpha Ralph was left stunned by seeing His face, everyone was. After all, they were seeing the majestic Lycan, dark walker in front of their eyes for the first time and surely they were under spell. Everything about Him screamed Royalty.
Indeed, He was the ‘Royal’.His slick black hair was styled into angular fringe almost covering his one eye. The powerful aura and natural raging nerves of Him was spread like air among the people.
Two men in suits were trailing behind Him, they were as muscular as their master but not taller like him. They seemed to be his guards or soldiers. Alpha Ralph immediately composed himself and walked towards The dark lord tentatively with a polite smile and bowed slightly giving respect.
“It was such a pleasure to finally have your presence in our pack, My King.” Alpha Ralph's voice was low but because of the close-mouthed silence in the hall, it echoed through the closed walls grabbing Allison’s attention.
She glanced up to see the people were jammed into their spots and in the middle were five men standing, seeming to be talking to each other. There was one tall man in the middle whose face she couldn't see because of Alpha’s figure hiding the view from her eyes. But she was sure that it was the Lycan king, Lyceon villin Whitlock.
Suddenly her nerves seemed to freeze in his presence. She felt a strange fear and nervousness though she didn't even look at Him but she could tell it was the bad news having him here. The sudden urge to run from there evoked in her mind but she rooted to her sitting position seeing everyone statue. She just couldn't grab anyone's attention by moving her limbs, not especially His.
She was praying to not be seen by Him in any way, the familiar rage interpreted in her heart recalling her family’s death by His hands. He was the monster, the killer.
Allison looked at how her Alpha was trying to impress that monster by his sugar-coated words and flattery. She forced down the mockery laugh at them and took calming breaths.
Lyceon stared at the middle-aged Alpha in front of him, welcoming him with a ridiculous smile. He tilted his head slightly and gave a lopsided smirk.
“It's interesting! How you welcome the slaughterer of your warriors, inviting him to your Ball, Alpha Beckham.”Allison’s breath hitched in her throat listening to His husky low voice. That was familiar! She felt that strange sense of deja vu.
She gripped her locket tightly with fear engulfing her senses.
No! It can't be!Alpha Ralph felt offended by his words but didn't show it.
“I..I was wrong, my King. I didn't know that the Blue moon pack was fighting against you. Please grant me a chance to show my apology to you, My king.” Alpha implored the King with lowered eyes.Allison was bemused by her Alpha, he was begging the monster who slaughtered his pack members. She was about to turn her gaze away from those hypocritical men when Alpha slid aside giving the space to the King and once again Allison was stunned to the core.
She had never seen such art in her whole life. The man who seemed around six feet and four inches stepped ahead with black attire and his dangerous aura. His slick black hair was complimenting his fair skin, he had sharp jawlines like the edge of the cliff and those pitch black eyes, she observed one of his eyes were covered by his medium-length hair but she didn't miss something shady over his left cheek hidden behind those black locks. Either it was a tattoo or a scar. She couldn't guess.
His rugged face was another definition of lethalness He spread around just by his stare. The clinking of his heels reminded everyone that they were glued like a statue to their place. Alpha and his guards followed after him to lead him to a special reserved table at the left.
Ever so slowly, His eyes gazed around leisurely without any blink. As He took more steps ahead, something happened. In a second, He stopped dead on the spot and took a deep whiff into the air by raising his head and closing his eyes.
Everyone who was relaxed a bit, tensed again feeling him sensing something.
His body twitched and He snapped open his eyes.Red eyes!
Allison’s blood ran cold, every rational thought left her mind except those crimson eyes. Her chest rising and falling with the harsh breathing. A bile rising in her throat thinking about her worst nightmare.
She couldn't help but stand abruptly, and by doing so her shaking hand knocked into the wine-filled glass placed on the table which hit the floor and broke into tiny pieces. She blankly looked down at the red liquid splashed on the off white shining floor.
Silence!
Allison stilled, her terror-stricken face was witnessed by anyone whose attention she grabbed in the silence. She was on the verge of crying and prayed to her goddess for not letting the Dark lord see her. She won't be able to stand his eyes let alone his presence.
But her prayers went into vain when Lyceon turned his head ever so slowly towards her and stopped his gaze on her.
Allison sucked a deep breath and her lower lip wobbled like a baby. Her emerald eyes glistened with tears. She wanted to run and run. But it seemed like her body gave up, she was rooted to her place, she couldn't feel her limbs. And nobody was there to protect her, to make her feel safe. The man in front of him killed her family and now He will kill her too. The people looked at her with disdain to create the scene and some with pity because she was going to face the wrath of their Alpha and if not then by this King. Allison attempted to calm herself in that situation but her efforts were futile. You cannot compose yourself in any way in front of the Dark walker. Lyceon’s right eye twitched seeing the beautiful little girl wrapped in a dark green gown, looking at him with terror. A vicious smirk formed on his lips feeling her anxiety, her racing heart and trembling body. He was amused how she was trying to pull a brave face when He could see nothing but shuddering form. Then He t
Allison opened her eyes slowly to see the unfamiliar white ceilings above and she frowned. Where am I?Suddenly the last time events called her mind and she sat upright. Sebastian was no more!Oh goddess! She covered her mouth to force down her sob. Though she didn't like him much but She never wanted him to die and too by the hands of the Dark walker. Her fear and hate for Him grew even more. Sebastian was just a twenty years old boy who didn't even live his life fully but He killed him without any mercy, without any blink. But why did He let her live? She was thinking about how long she had been unconscious when The room door burst open and Nora came running to embrace her friend. Allison's emotions surfaced again and she cried in her friend's arms. “Ali, calm down, babe.” Nora consoled her. Asher walked inside the room with his hands pocketed. His face was grim.“Nora, He killed him. He…He is so brutal. A cruel monster…” Allison sobbed. Her emotions were haywire recalling the r
Her body became taut as she felt deserted and discarded. Nobody cared about her, they didn't even ask Him the purpose of why He wanted her. They just abandoned her like a deer is passed on from one lion to another. The sudden urge to defy them knocked her mind, she wanted to scream at both the controlling men. She wanted to tell her will. She wanted to deny them. Maybe, Maybe she could just disagree with their decision and stand for herself.“I don't want to….” She whispered under her breath without giving much thought. “What did you say?” Alpha Ralph asked her, the anger and hatred filled his eyes. If not for the King's presence there, he would surely have killed her with his own hands. Maybe He was just finding a chance to punish her after all she caused his son’s death. “I…I don't want to leave my pack.. Please don't do this to me, Alpha.” She couldn't help but beg while looking down at the shimmering material on her gown not daring to look at any of them. Alpha Ralph fumed an
They walked back to the ballroom where the merciless death was executed by the monster hours ago. But now everything was clean and gleaming like nothing ever happened there. Though Allison could feel the gloomy aura among the people of her pack because of their future Alpha’s death. But nobody dared to voice out their thoughts in the presence of the Lycan king. Allison spotted Him talking to some high authority people with his mighty self at the farthest corner. He was listening so casually like nothing gruesome had happened there and He never blackmailed her into his wishes. Her fear and hate for him doubled when she realised that He had caused her misery in many ways. Now He was claiming her His. But why? What did she do to him? Why out of all the beautiful girls presented there He chose her? She was just a normal human being who couldn't even protect herself. Just then she watched Scarlett walking gracefully to Lyceon asking for the dance. Allison gasped slightly thinking abou
“I sensed the clashing of swords of thoughts in your mind, Little bird.” Aztec pulled her out of her reverie. She looked up at his tanned smooth skin, his rugged face could only scream that he was the loyal beta of his king. Though he was handsome. She scrunched her nose at his other name for her and was about to retort when his demeanor suddenly changed as he looked behind her. Allison frowned when his eyes darkened with worry and apprehension. “I guess, My time is over but it was a pleasure meeting you, Queen.” He said in a rush before stepping back and leaving but not before kissing her knuckles with a bow.“What are you….” Allison was asking but She heard a deep growl and abruptly was knocked into a hard yet warm reverberating chest. She watched Aztec walk away as She heard another possessive growl and the hair on the back of Allison’s body rouse up in fear. She knew who it was. She gulped the thick saliva formed in her throat and tried to withdraw but Lyceon was fast enough. He
Aztec put her essentials into the trunk of the black shining Bentley Bentayga on her request. Though Lyceon prevented her from taking her belongings from her home but she had a few memorable things about her family, she couldn't miss. So she requested Him to grab them. She looked at the two black cars behind the one in which she was going to take the longest and most memorable ride with the Dark walker beside her. Nora hugged her tightly before whispering into her ear, “I will always be there for you, Ali. Don't forget okay. We will find a way. And if you need anything, don't hesitate to call me. I will do anything in my power to help you.” Nora looked into her eyes and nodded which gave little ease to Allison’s heart. Nora was always by her side through thin and thick and she couldn't imagine if she could find anyone like her in the kingdom to support her. “And keep being the brave and courageous girl you are. Don't be afraid of anything. We will find Mason if the moon goddess help
She thrashed in his hold to free herself but He was holding her in place tightly. “What the Fuck!” “Leave me, leave me…. You Monster!” She shouted on the top of her lungs. He restrained her hands from scratching his face and Bellowed. “ALLISON!” Allison snapped open her eyes and instantly tears rolled down her cheeks. She was breathing heavily and shaking all over. She looked up at Lyceon who held her body tightly, she was practically laying on his body. Lyceon was matching her breath as red flashed through his eyes and Allison couldn't help but scream again. She was still living in her nightmare. Lyceon was on the verge of losing his senses. Not wanting to let his monster out He did the one thing which could cool his mind and restrain his Lycan down. He cupped her nape and crashed his lips against her opened mouth abruptly and roughly, suppressing her shouts instantly. Allison’s eyes widened in shock. The tingling sensation exploded on her entire body with the goosebumps accom
It was after an hour or two, until they finally made it to the kingdom's territory. The ride was silent after that gruesome incident but it was comfortable for Allison. Though Her heart was not at ease but she seized the time to adjust with thoughts that whatever was happening was out of her control. Either if she gets killed, injured or buried now, it's all upon him. He has the strings of her life in his hands now. She wanted to ask many questions but dropped the Thoughts aside. Because she was too afraid to even look at him let alone asking something as she felt him clenching and unclenching his fists every other minute in agitation. So it was not the right time to ask anything, not that He would actually answer her for anything. Wondering how close they are, Allison focused on scanning the dark forest around her and kept gazing at the trees passing by through the window. The sun was setting down slowly as the sky dusked. They travelled down the big town with buildings and shops.
“What the hell were you doing there? You almost hurt Rebecca, Lyceon.” Once they were in his room Allison burst on him. “What has gotten into you? Stop being too dramatic about this scenario. You can’t be right every time. You...”Before she could argue further Lyceon yanked her body and slammed her back against the door and grabbed her arms. “So you pulled me here to teach me what’s wrong and what’s right huh? You took me here to preach to me, Mate!” His intimidating tone and sharp gaze made her nervous but she stood on her ground. “Yes, I pulled you here to preach to you because you are forgetting with whom you are fighting in your rage and pride. What will you do? Punish me too with banishment!” She dared to question him and Lyceon twisted his jaws. He shook his head before smirking slightly. “No! For you, I have special punishment, Mate!” His flashed eyes suddenly threw her confidence into the gutter as she swallowed. “Lyceon, they are our friends, our family. Their opinion mat
Lyceon advanced towards Ashina, shaking everyone’s heart there. He neared her and jerked her shoulders. “Tell me, Ashina! Are you in touch with that bastard? Are you still talking to him? I told you to stay away from him. Didn't I?” His low, dangerous voice shook her. She shook her head and swallowed her fear. “Lyceon, trust me, he is the only one who can help us track Keir and Thana. And he is willing to help…” “ASHINA!” He shut her mouth by growling loudly. She pinched her eyes at his rage. “I told you to never talk to him let alone ask for his help. For fuck sake!” Rebecca couldn't stop herself and stepped forward. “Then what should we do, Lyceon? Have you found them? At least she is helping. Your pride is stopping us from fulfilling our mission. Are you waiting for them to attack us again or kidnap someone else this time? Or Are you waiting for them to kill us this time?” Lyceon snapped his head at her and sharpened his eyes. Mason scooted near his mate for protection seein
“Are you sure you want to do this?” Mason asked his mate who nodded confidently. “Yes, I will do it. If Esther helps us we will take that help and let Lyceon know too. It doesn't matter if he cooperates or not. But we need to tell Allison first after we find Keir and Thana’s whereabouts, which we will know by the evening as Esther mentioned. But yes, only Allison could convince her mate, Mason.” Rebeca sighed as she decided to tell Allison. Mason nodded, supporting her. “She will agree, don't worry. But the problem is the King, I fear his reaction. And He might not listen to Allison and Ashina! That woman is in another world these days. Only if she could help us through that vampire prince.” Felicia sighed. “Anyways, did you call Allison to come out?” Rebecca nodded as they were ready to go out shopping for the coming Luna ceremony. “Yes, she must be ready by now. Wait, let me call her.” “Esther also mentioned she would need Allison. Should we tell her this too?” Mason asked them
‘You are waiting for the bloodbath and here I am taking a cold bath every other day waiting for you, Sugar.’Ashina’s upper lip snarled reading the message from her fake clingy mate. The bastard really knows the ways to get on her nerves. He could freeze to death by cold baths for all she cares! ‘When will you come to me, Sugar?’Ashina let out a cold smile. ‘Probably at your funeral. Or maybe next birth only if you wouldn’t be a ugly bloodsucker then!’As soon as the message got blue ticks, Klyde sent her a big laughing emoji. ‘I can arrange my funeral for you, Sweetheart. Every month! And for the next birth, what would my mate want me to become if not a bloodsucker, hmm?’ Under the message, he sent a special Gif of fangs with blood dripping from the hot lips. Ashina closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths to calm her raging nerves. She just wanted to hit his head and rip it apart. She had blocked him ten times in the past but he always managed to send her messages through di
Felicia let out a deep breath staring non stop at her phone on the table with a nervous gaze. It was on speaker with a ringing bell as she had placed a call to someone and was waiting for the response from the other end. Not only her but her friends Rebecca, Mason, Naomi and Aztec were waiting patiently until the bell stopped and someone responded finally, “I'm glad you called me back, Sweet girl!” A very familiar female voice greeted their ears and Felicia wet her lips. She looked up at Rebecca who nodded at her to speak.Felicia cleared her throat to force herself calm before speaking, “Queen Esther, I called you with a purpose and I'm sure you might have guessed by now why I called you.” Esther hummed leisurely in response and Felicia continued, “First you need to assure me that you really can help us tracking Keir and Thana.” She got a small laugh in response. “Dear, if it were not in my power then why would you think I would have proposed to you. Don't worry, Redford’s word
Felicia slowly looked over her shoulder at Ashina who was unbothered, sitting on the chair with arms crossed over her chest. She didn't seem to be against this idea but also not in favor. As if she was not sure of it too. Then Felicia looked at Mason, Aztec, Naomi. All seemed positive. “Allison would also want this, Cia. And you know it. We should take the lead. Lyceon is just angry over the fact that the vampire Prince Klyde is Ashina’s mate…”“He is not my mate!” Ashina barked. Rebecca closed her eyes, took a deep breath and nodded. “Right! So Lyceon is angry that the prince claimed to be her supposed mate so Lyceon wouldn't take their help and would see them with doubtful eyes as they supported Keir against us before. But you know that Klyde might be her mate for real. You have seen that in his eyes…” Rebecca whispered, leaning forward and nodding at Felicia. “I heard that!” Ashina snapped again. Rebecca whipped her head in her direction with utter frustration. “Could you shut
The whole ride to the Dark Walker kingdom was silent but uncomfortable. Allison didn't make any sound out of her mouth, not even a loud breath. Her mind was whirling around the ugly scenario that happened an hour ago while her blood was boiling in rage with every passing second. She felt regret. A huge regret. She felt like she lost the last ray of hope. She felt tired, defeated, suffocated and whatnot. Thana got successful in taking Zamini’s soul and the last essence of her existence and Allison could do nothing. She felt like someone gripped her heart into a tight fist. As they walked into the hallway of the mansion, Lyceon took her directly into his room. He helped her to clean in the washroom and later took her down for dinner. All the time Allison was shit silent and it was worrying him. Though He didn't bother her. “What happened to her?” Ashina asked her brother in mind-link after the intolerable long silence over the dining table. Rebecca and Felicia were also excha
Something snapped inside Allison seeing the most ugly and terrifying view. She was petrified but the urge to cut Thana into pieces drove Allison to race towards her but again she was slammed back by an invisible block. She fell back on the dirty ground as her body ached with the harsh impact. Still she raised her body and shrieked in rage. “THANA..”Esther snapped her head to Allison’s and followed her gaze. She snarled seeing Thana and Zamini’s heads in her hold and snapped her fingers to keep the witches away from themselves before turning to Allison. “Catch her! I will handle these witches!” She instructed her and Allison didn't need to be told twice as she jumped upright and ran towards Thana who smirked again and stepped backward shaking her head as if taunting Allison that she wouldn't be able to catch her. With a smile Thana created the magical portal behind her and Allison stopped dead short. She stiffened, knowing she couldn't reach Thana at time as she was only a few sec
Allison sighed deeply and nodded, letting the matter leave in fate’s hands. Esther was right. Ashina will go where she is destined. They stepped near Zamini’s house. As Allison walked in front an invisible war yanked her back, ceasing her effort to walk further. Allison gasped, staggering back but composed herself. “Are you ready?” Esther asked her before stepping ahead, stopping beside her. Allison snapped her head in her direction. “To break the spell of Thana. This…” She gestured towards the invisible wall, “…will be broken with both of our strength. I told you before!” Allison almost forgot about why she was even here in the first place. She nodded. Esther offered her hand and Allison placed her palm on her hand before both of them looked ahead and chanted the powerful spell with a loud voice. The harsh strong wind passed through them blowing the trees around as they raised their free hands and curled their fingers, breaking the wall. Allison sucked in a deep breath as it dr
