Jason after exiling Paige, sat in his chair when his gammas walked in through the door. They met sight of Georgia who sat in his lap while Jason fondled his hands around her body, his gaze was stern and fixated as he fell in deep thought. For a moment, they were unsure whether they were supposed to leave or stay in the room.
" Leader, you called?" Terry said as he greeted with a bow of his head along with Igor who stood beside him greeting Jason in the same manner after a while, they both looked away from what was going on upfront. Jason had called for both of them after receiving the news from Ivan as to Alphonse hiding in the city of Portico. " Where is Harrod? Why isn't he with you guys?" He raised his gaze and asked in a dry tone. After several thoughts, Jason had come up with the best solution that he could sum up. And it was just as simple. He planned to go after Alphonse by himself and exact his revenge on him. Jason decided to save Kyley for later as she was still within reach. She hadn't gone too far yet after all, and he could still find her. He'd already instructed Ivan and the rest to watch her closely. Nonetheless, Jason couldn't just leave without making certain changes and preparations. Igor and Terry exchanged meaningful glances. " W-we left him in charge of the captives" Igor said looking at the floor board. It was obvious from Jason's tone that he gave Harrod some sort of importance and he and Terry worried if they hadn't made a mistake leaving him with the captives. He was new to the pack afterall and they had left him with such an important task. Jason hearing his gammas frowned at first, but then his expression relaxed after a short while. ' That's even better.' Jason thought. ' His loyalty and servitude can be put to further test. Besides...' Jason smirked a bit at how favorable the situation was. At first he had thought to leave the pack to go after Alphonse with his two gammas, Terry and Igor, and leave Harrod back home to maintain his rule. He felt that Harrod would be an easier target who wouldn't dare usurp him and turn against him. However, considering how Harrod had joined his pack, Jason still had doubts and lacked trust in Harrod. Moreso, his alpha side detested putting an Alpha in his position, even if he has stripped Harrod of his Alpha status. Jason still couldn't take the chance! Who knew what he could do? Besides if the Moonblood pack got raided and attacked, Harrod would not be in the best position to command the oack as ge wasn't accepted by the other members of the pack just yet. Harrod was still considerably weak for an Alpha even compared to Gammas like Terry and Igor. " Very well" Jason nodded as he made a decision after a while of thought. " Terry, you shall come with me to the city to take down Alphonse. The bastard has been spotted and it's time we take action" Jason turned to face his gamma and said to him. Terry raised his gaze quickly and frowned hearing this. He was at first surprised at the sudden news but then his expression became resolute. To him, this meant two things. The first beng Jason's trust for him to be capable of going on the hunt with him. As a Gamma, it was quite the honor. But this left Igor feeling dissatisfied and unworthy. ' Terry, you lucky bastard!' On the other hand, however, it was also Terry's own personal delight at finally being able to witness Alphonse's doom. Terry had never liked Alphonse. He never considered him one of them as the latter used to be the previous Alpha's gamma. Terry never trusted Alphonse in the first place, and after his betrayal, his hatred for the stout, balding gamma even burned deeper. " Go bring Harrod with you. He'll be coming with us as well" Jason added after. Hearing Jason's next words, Igor couldn't help but shoot his alpha a terrified gaze that conveyed the heavy disbelief and surprise he felt just now. Why would Jason pick the new gamma over him? " Yes, leader!" Terry nodded and swiftly left the room to get Harrod. ' Am I worthless? Or did I do something?' Igor hung his head in thought and couldn't help but shudder at the thought of offending Jason. He knew exactly what would come after, a cold cruel torture to death. However, when he thought about it, he couldn't find any time where he'd done something to offend him. Nonetheless, Igor slowly and warily shook his gaze towards Jason, gritting his teeth hardly in fear as he expected a sudden attack from the Alpha. He had no idea if he'd done anything to offend Jason but that didn't mean Jason still wouldnt be offended even if he hadn't realized it. He wouldn't even stand a chance to figure it out as he'd be dead before that. " Why do you look so perplexed, Igor?" Jason asked seeing how Igor stood with so much vigilance. Igor shuddered in fright and just stood in place, his whole face covered in cold sweat. " It doesn't matter." Jason dismissed. He had no idea what was going through the gamma's mind and he didn't care to ask. " I have a more important duty and responsibility to place on you while I and the others are gone" Jason stated seriously. Igor's furrowed brows slowly rose in confusion at Jason's words, as though to ask what the latter was talking about. " Honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that I have a lot of trust in you being capable of this, I would rather not have left you in this position. However, I have no option as it stands. You wouldn't dare betray me, will you?" Jason asked shortly after. " Never!" Igor swore almost instantly. He was still not sure about what was going on but he wouldn't compromise his loyalty to Jason for anything. He would never back down on a chance to prove himself. " Good. Then, I shall leave you in command of the pack while I'm gone. Do not even dare to disobey me and try to dream too big or act too smart. I promise you, it won't end well with you if you do!" Jason said with a cold stare which made Igor shudder in fright. The latter was surprised at how Jason suddenly placed an important responsibility upon him while he was still thinking he was unworthy. He was surprised and at the same time doubtful, but he could never say no. " Y-yes, leader." Igor bowed his head as he nodded. He almost teared up just now, he really hadn't offended Jason and the alpha only had better things for him to do. He was relieved. And regarding what Jason had trusted him with, his pride as gamma rose by bounds. He was delighted that Jason had so much trust in him as his gamma to put him in such a position that he knew Jason would otherwise not have done. Finally, Igor's effort had finally paid off. What he felt now could be likened to the feeling of a son finally being recognized by his father. Or an artisan finally being recognized for his dedication and hard work. " Leader!" Igor pumped a fist to his chest so hard that a loud thump reverberated through the room loudly. He then took on a resolute and convicted expression as he said. " I swear to fulfill this role to your utmost expectation!" Igor seemed like a soldier taking an oath to fight and defend his home. Jason nodded his head in approval and dismissed Igor shortly after. " Very well, you may leave for now." Igor nodded with his chest pumped out and left swiftly, he couldn't wait to brag about his achievement to Terry. He was left disappointed at first when Jason had told Terry that he was coming with him to the city, but who would have thought there was even something morr important for him to do. Although going after Alphonse was an honorable call, to Igor, nothing meant as much as being the one that Jason trusted his oosition as commander to. Igor's pride toppled! Jason leaned on his chair with a creased gaze. He had lied about about Igor being capable and being the one he trusted the most for the job. It was more of a choice between choosimg Terry and Igor since Harrod was not an option anymore. But left to Jason, he would rather choose neither of them. Being an Alpha, Jason being an Alpha would have never relished his reign as the Alpha of the Moonblood pack over to anyone else but himself. And even now, he'd only left Igor to make decisions for the pack while he was gone because he knew that the gamma lacked the ambition and desire to usurp him unlike Terry who might possess such tendencies. Not that Jason knows for certain that Igor wouldn't try to take his throne as Alpha of the pack, but he believed he could handle Igor if he tried to do such a thing, unlike Terry who was more cunning and scheming. Hence, after reassessing his options, Jason came to the conclusion that Igor was the best option left around to leave in command of the pack. He hadn't named him the leader nor vice-leader though, his duty was only to take command of the pack in his absence as a gamma. ' The role of Alpha and leader of the Moonblood pack belongs to me and me alone!' Jason reiterated internally. He slowly pushed Georgia who sat in his lap meekly all these while on his lap and rose to walk towards the window and look down at the residence in deep thought. He raised his gaze and looked into a far distance and muttered after a while " Alphonse... Very soon, you shall face the consequences of the things you've done..." Jason clenched his fist hard in a crushing motion. ... In the city of Portico, a strange rapid change was taking place. A shocking change that was going to leave the city in shock and surprise for years to come. The news was slowly circulating, and the people became even more scared and threatened as the reality of the rumor became more and more evident. The werewolves on the other hand were in a dilemma. They were stuck between making a choice regarding the change brought about by the new times. The city was becoming rowdy and a storm of unexpected outcome was slowly brewing. And it was coming very fast.As dusk befell the wilderness, the forest come alive as nocturnal creatures begin their cries and sounds of symphony, adding a mysterious and creepy feel to the surrounding. The air was damp and filled with a sense of vigilance and anticipation, as if the wilderness itself is preparing for the night's adventures. Tall shadows grew from the root of the huge tall trees in the woods, shading the small river that ran along the banks, covering the water surface in a dark shade. Splash! At the bank of the river that calmly flowed in its stream, a figure could be seen squatting and washing their face. Her long brown curly short hair swept her shoulder blades at every move, highlighting her tall slender figure in a leather jacket worn over a crop top and tight jean and a pair of boots. Her brown iris moved around swiftly with a hint of rage and insecurity. It was Paige! After being exiled from the Moonblood pack by Jason, she had been left without a home and a place to stay but to
The cold wind that blasted past my face had me gasping hardly to catch my breath as I fled away from the world of horror behind me. Despite the tightness in my lungs, I never stopped my hind and fore limbs from lunging forward in a swift dash towards the unknown, as I knew this was all the chance I had.'Anything, anything at all!...' I was beyond desperate to escape. The pain from all that I had gone through in the hands of my cruel mate hit even harder now than when I had suffered it. My sight became blurry and I could feel slight wetness at the corners of my eyes but I couldn't care any less at the moment. All I wanted now was to get away from it all and erase everything from my memory. The ghastly bruises and cuts that slashed deep through my furs were nothing to make me stop even though it hurts. I knew that, soon enough, the whole pack will be after me. I had no destination, nor did I know where I was headed as I ran through the dark woods full of mist that spread far ahead unde
"Hah! Hah! Hah!" I panted uncontrollably as I ran on all fours with everything I had. The rustling sounds of the dried-up leaves and the snapping of the twigs, as well as the growls I could hear all around indicated just how close they were to me now. For the past thirty minutes or so, I had done nothing else but run, and run, or otherwise bear the risk of suffering a fate even worse than I had experienced in the past. I knew I wasn't going to get death even if I wanted it. Jason would never relent until he's exacted his revenge for what I'd done. And I feared that'd be the last of me. I was already on the brink of going insane from the previous tortures. The sound of my heart beating right in my ears wasn't anywhere close enough to the feeling of dread that enshrouded my being. I could feel my furs standing on end cautiously and brushing against the cold wind. The feeling of a hundred ants crawling on my skin was nothing but a subconscious reaction of my body to fear and pressure that
Kyley's POVI fluttered my eyes open unconsciously to meet the sight of a strange room. For a while, I was thoughtless and felt no memory of who I was. Not until my conscience kicked in. I opened my eyes a little wider subconsciously as I remembered the last thing I saw before I... 'What!?... I, didn't die?' I was surprised as I was certain that I had seen the monster killing everyone of the pack who were there in the woods, mercilessly. The memory of the horrid iron smell of blood made my nose sting. Nonetheless, It seemed I have survived. But...'Just how. And... where am I?' I couldn't help but take a look around the room which had quite the traditional setting. I could tell from the wooden structure of the room that I wasn't anywhere in the cities that Sam had showed me before. The buildings were a lot more sophisticated and had much more intricate interior design from what I knew. This place, however, seemed a lot more like...'Oh no!!..' The thought of having been taken back to
In the residence of the Moonblood pack. The whole part of the country town exercised gloominess, fear, sorrow, and inactivity. All were united in their feelings as amongst them were those who had lost someone very dare and close to them in the recent event. While others just stayed neutral and decided to act in line so as to not incur their ruthless Alpha's wrath.Everyone in the pack had heard of how Jason, the great Alpha, after having his slave mate escape from his grasp, was subsequently betrayed by his right hand woman whom he trusted the most in the pack. It was indeed a shameful occurence for a person of authority like himself and was something unheard of. Not to mention hurting the pride of their pack. Word was, Jason was wounded by one of his Gammas in a battle resulting from a conniving plan to usurp him as the pack leader and was currently undergoing treatment. Many had a feeling that times might change soon and that a new Alpha might rise. However, the wrath of their Alph
The city of Portico was bustling as a bee. People came and went about their businesses and the air around the city was stuffy from all the mechanical pollution of companies and industries. Than the canteens and restaurants, the police department of Portico was much more populated." Hey, Ronnie!" He hadn't stepped more than a foot into shift when he heard someone call his name already. Court Ronald, a detective who's been in service for 5 years, looked up towards his partner, Jamie Francis. " What's with all the people and noise?" Ronald asked." Oh don't mind them, they're just here to make their hair... Duty calls of course, idiot" Francis greeted in his usual sarcastic tone as he approached Ronald with a file in hand. Ronald just smiled bitterly, wondering how he ever came across Jamie. Why was he even allowed in the police department?" See that dude over there?..." He pointed at an old man who sat with a lost gaze in the corner of the department. "He's come to report some odd cas
...Kyley was still deep in her thoughts when Darren returned into the room with a tray of sweet delicacies in hand. The smell of the delicious meal quickly filled the room and Kyley subconsciously reached to see what was inside the dishwares- that looked quite classy to the taste of anyone."Sorry it took a while but, I didn't know your preference so..." Darren placed the tray on the bedside table and stood to place both hands on his waist."I made varieties" He was even more proud of himself seeing the look on Kyley's face."All yours" he said with a smile when he saw how Kyley looked up and asked with a face that says 'so when do I get to eat this'."Th-thank you" Kyley quickly reached to pick the meatloaf and gobbled it down her throat. Not minding the slight aches on the side of her mouth. She didn't even realize that she made haughty noises as she ate. Or maybe she just didn't care?Darren watched amusedly from where he sat in the other side of the room."Try the marinated steak
As the night descended upon the city like a veil, the silver half-moon hung in the sky and dimly shone as a source of light in compliment with the dim streetlights that flickered at intervals. The night was slightly cold and the soft breeze that blew left the sky with thin clouds, leaving the atmosphere a bit whimsical. In an alley around the back of a pub. The street lights had been vandalized, and only the soft purrs of cats as they dug in the garbage along with soft giggles and whispers could be heard. The place reeked of alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, vomit and piss. The dark brick walls of the buildings were cold and dry, and the floor were littered with dirts. " Erhh!" A goog could be seen struggling to walk up ahead in the back alley as he fell and rose all alone. No one seemed to care about him at the moment as everyone had a thing or two they were busy doing. A couple kissed in the darker corner, while some were involved in a more intimate position, smoking and indulging in a v
