A sudden push

The next morning, Kyley woke up in bed with her eyes feeling dry and slightly sandy, as it was covered in dirt.

She had cried a lot the last night and it had dried up on her face overnight.

Nonetheless, Kyley pushed herself up to sit on the bed and rubbed her eyes with a finger to get rid of the dirts.

She looked to her side where Darren had been the last night, but the latter was no longer there.

Kyley's heart skipped a beat at the thought that Darren had left her, but she remembered the things he said to her the previous night.

Kyley smiled wryly when she remembered and couldn't help but place a palm on her chest, feeling a light burn in her heart. She had no idea what this feeling was but she knew it wasn't all too bad.

After a while, Kyley looked towards the window, watching with a dazed expression as the curtain danced in a lovely rhythm under the guidance of the morning breeze that softly blew at it.

She felt a sense of peace and the feeling of comfort wash through her being
