The words hit me like a ton of bricks and my pulse raced as I struggled to control my quivering palms and eyes as wide as saucers, similar to Adriana next to me.

TRAVIS' POV A torrent of pain flooded my head and voices roared in the distance. I tried to move my hand to grab my aching head but found it too heavy to lift.
