CHAPTER 56 - WOLFSBANE

REIGN

"Hi Reign," I heard his voice, my head did not throb with pain of any kind, I felt relaxed and quite refreshed which I attributed to the medicine the doctor had prescribed for me.

I stirred a bit unwillingly to wake up to the same feelings, that was the first time I had slept undisturbed in quite a while. I decided Zephyr was right, I was probably beginning to see things and assume them since after I saw the dead remains of that man in Zephyr's room on the banquet night.

I shifted my hands to put both under my head and spoon no one but it would not move. A soft constraint held both my hands apart. What was happening?

Alarmed, my eyes flung open but everywhere was dark. I tried to adjust my eyes to the darkness but my senses were poor. I was not in touch with my wolf, she was far away and no matter how I called, she seemed to be asleep.

Wolfsbane!

Someone must have injected me with wolfsbane. My heightened senses were dull, sight, smell and hearing. What was happening to me?
