CHAPTER 4 : A FATED ENCOUNTER

"I still can't believe they still think of me as a little child they can control and manipulate anytime. An Alpha like me and they still think that?" I fumed and vented to my right hand man, who just kept his head down, while listening to me.

"I don't really blame them, I blame my weak father for placing them on that high pedestal, and that's why they were able to conspire against him and led him directly to his death", I continued as I combed through my hair with my fingers.

"What a joke, I am not going back there, let my brother continue to lead them,he's doing a great job", I said as I scoffed at myself.

"Any other appointments for the day" I asked my right hand man, beta James, as I placed the just concluded meeting with the elders behind.

"No other official meeting, save for your appointment with Miss Lilian,Alpha", beta James replied.

Talking about Lilian, my supposed girlfriend, that girl has really been very clingy and on my neck lately and am beginning to hate the fact that I gave her the liberty of being close to me in the first place, but I guess I will just blame it on the goddess now.

I wonder why she hasn't sent my mate to me all these years, maybe she loves playing with me and watching me suffer, I thought to myself.

" Call her and cancel that appointment, I am not in the mood to entertain anybody today", I said to James.

" You know she won't agree and might just end up stalking us ", James started

In as much as what he said is true and he's my best friend and all but I really hate it, when he defies me like this.

" I'm not in the mood for this James, just do what I asked you to do and she knows what am capable of, if she decides to stalk me", I replied

" Roger that Boss", James said in his funny voice.

I stifled a little laugh, he sure knows how to be funny sometimes

" Get the car, I am done for the day, I need to clear my head and enjoy the rest of the day alone", I said to James, who hummed in response.

I entered the car, rolled down the window a little and rested my head, to cool off a little.

Have only drifted off for a short while, when the car suddenly jerked to a stop, nearly putting me off my seat.

"What the heck James, why the sudden stop", I screamed at James, he knows I hate being woken up like this, especially when I haven't slept well in ages.

" A girl seems to be in trouble and is blocking off our route, I didn't want to hurt her" James explained

"Drive around her", I said to him

I didn't even bother to look, I like minding my business and I won't even bother, not when she deprived me of my sleep.

" I think we should help her", James responded as incessant pounding on my car window continued.

"When did you start giving the orders, huh! Just drive", I said to him. " We should learn to mind our business sometimes". "What an ass", James muttered under his breath. " I sure heard that", I said to him.

" I know", he responded. I smiled " you're lucky, you're my best buddy, James", " I sure am", he responded

He moved around the girl and we continued on our journey.

"Mate", my wolf's voice sounded heavily in my ears.

"That's our mate", my wolf screamed again, as it struggled to come out and take charge.

I groaned, as I struggled to be in control, "mate? " I questioned myself. I can feel my wolf's excitement and the passionate worship and devotion he's giving to a woman, we haven't even seen what her character is like.

" Oh! I want to hold her, kiss her and let her give birth to my pups", my wolf continued

I can't lie, his excitement is getting to me, as I began to fantasize about her too.

" Keep shut, let's get her", I said to my wolf to keep him calm, as his continuous rants was increasing my headache.

"Stop the car, James", I commanded, as I pushed open the car and strode out.

I wouldn't want to miss her, since the moon goddess decided to remember me and grant me happiness, I thought to myself.

" That's her", my wolf screamed " but who is that man dragging her back, her father?", my wolf continued, I could feel his anger levels rising.

I couldn't even wait for him to burst out, before I rushed towards them, trying to be as calm as possible.

" How dare he, rough handle what belongs to me", I could feel anger coursing through my veins, I had to remind myself that this isn't my territory to be able to think clearly.

" I don't think she wants to go with you, why don't you put her down ", I said as calmly as I could the man, fearing that i might kill him, if i decide to take her force.

"What if he ends up being her father and she resents me for it", I thought to myself as my wolf became quiet and I became calm.

"Mind your business", the old man screamed at me.

"Mind my business?She's mine and that makes it my business, " I muttered under my breath.

" Help me", my mate muttered, hearing her say that broke the last restraints we had against the man, as I punched out, not minding if he ends up dying as I looked at my mate, who was now free from his hold.

"Plss,save me, take me with you", she whispered again, "let's take her she's ours anyway", my wolf mumbled

I groaned, as I looked at the girl who had fallen unconscious at my feet, with mixed feelings., I scooped her up and strode towards my car.

"You're the one who told me to take you with me, don't forget that", I muttered .
