Ralph sat at his desk, going through the files that piled up over the past few days. His eyes flicked to the clock on his desk, and he sighed when he saw that Lucinda was still not here. He wondered what she was doing with Deacon and couldn't help but feel a twinge of annoyance that she was not here on time. "I wonder what they're talking about," he muttered to himself before getting up from his chair and walking out of his office.

As he approached Deacon's gate, he saw Lucinda sleeping in Deacon's arms. Ralph felt his anger flare up at the sight. "Is she nuts? I was waiting for her, and she's here sleeping!" he thought. He walked over to her and put his fingers on her lips.
