FLASHBACK 4
Lucifer stared for a long time at his hands in shock, and it was definitely not because of the scrawny look of his hands. The creature that had humiliated him before his subjects had long since walked past him and now he was busying himself with the items on the trees. One by one he would pick them and throw some into his mouth and others he will put in a large leaf, probably storing them for later.
Those things were edible?! NO! It’s this creature that has lost its mind. Why would he put substances of a tree in his mouth? Why will he put anything there at all?
Those were thoughts that surrounded his head when he had finally faced the creature with his eyes in the right order. The creature walked around numerous times, admiring the garden, playing with the other creatures and eating everything he could from the trees. Sometimes, his eyes would dart towards Lucifer but he never spoke neither did he act like he saw anyone there. It was near impos
Nahamani watched Michael and Azaliah look over the trainers in the field, she had been for a time and she was waiting for the perfect opportunity to speak to Azaliah about the announcement earlier. The announcement she wasn't completely honest about. Only she knew that when God made her that promise, he had only mentioned he will send a weapon not a weapon wielder. Her confusion and horror when she saw Azaliah lying on the floor that day was enormous. All of a sudden, she just wanted to protect her instead of throwing her into battle. Azaliah looked nothing like a warrior and even till now, the thought that maybe the maker made a mistake enveloped her mind.As she stared, Michael turned his eyes to her direction and gave a small nod, a sign he had gotten through to her. She sighed in relief and nodded back waiting for Michael to excuse himself. After a while, he did and slowly Nahamani walked over to where her warden stood and came close to her."Azaliah". She called.
Lucifer studied the creature in front of him with more enthusiasm than before. This second version had longer hair than that of the first and a more curvy figure, it had more slender legs and arms and a more soft look to its features. It looked quite attractive.Attractive?! What was he thinking? Surely this was some kind of curse, another type of trap. The creature couldn’t see him either,it turned its small, slender blue eyes to the dead creature on the floor and walked over to it. Lucifer watched as it touched it’s lookalike on the head and the latter let out a small noise of satisfaction. Lucifer scrunched his face in disgust. What manner of conversation is this again? Can this second creature not speak? The slender creature kept rubbing the head of the dead companion until the sky started to get brighter and Lucifer watched till the end. To say he was fascinated was an understatement. The look on the face of the creatures during their conversation was
FLASHBACK 7Adam?! Adam wasn’t his name, not that he remembered anyway. Who was he calling Adam? Was it…“Adam”. God called again in a soft tone. Lucifer stood puzzled then later his mouth opened up in shock for the hundredth time. The male creature grabbed his female by the hand and looked up to the sky.“My lord. I am here”. He replied. Lucifer’s shocked face contorted to anger. He was talking to this being now?!“Sit down Adam with your woman, we have to discuss”. God said. Lucifer was staring at the sky in disbelief. His mouth opened and closed numerous times, still he could not find anything to say.Adam instantly obeyed the most high’s voice and sat on the green substance which Lucifer found out to be grass. The way Adam and the female looked up to the sky with so much admiration made him sick, that was how he once looked at the creator. When he was dumb.“Are you lovin
FLASHBACK 8The female creature in the garden played around the green fields with no care in the world and with no idea that over a million spirits were watching her, especially their head. The most fascinated spirit and the most annoyed.Lucifer watched her jump around with a floating creature on the air. It’s appearance was very strange, it basically had no head just a pair of small colorful wings. The ability of the creature to survive without a head was beyond Lucifer’s mind.As the female jumped around, the two large lumps on her chest danced with her and Lucifer struggled greatly not to look at them.As strange as it was, Lucifer found himself drawn to it in a weird way. He shook his head and frowned when he realized he had been staring for too long.“This is why she must be destroyed”. He said to himself. Lucifer’s eyes darted to the tree that was strictly forbidden to touch, he smiled coyly. He had not had any
FLASHBACK 9 Once again, Lucifer was stalking the female but this time with a smile on his face. She was near a stream far away from Adam playing with her hair and humming to the tunes of the small birds that surrounded them. A hissing sound diverted Lucifer’s attention. The former cherub looked at the snake in his hands and his smile widened. So close. He raised his hands so the snake could be at eye level with him, then his eyes darkened. “I know you are a harmless creature but yet you seem so…dangerous”. He said. The serpent’s head moved side to side as it stared and Lucifer mirrored the action with perfect sync. “So deceitful. I feel you are a lot like me”. He continued. “And just like me all you need is a little push”. As he said those words, the snake hissed and its eye slit got narrower. It understood him. He then began to stare deeply into the eyes of the animal, the serpent had stopped hissing and it focused on the dark
FLASHBACK 10 Lucifer had to patiently wait for the female’s mouth to close. When it did, he hissed in satisfaction but it opened again and Lucifer bared his fangs in annoyance. The female didn’t notice because she had heard something far worse than his brewing anger. “He what?” She finally whispered. “Lied to you”. Lucifer said to her. When she looked back at him, her expression had changed from shock to that of hurt. Lucifer wanted to laugh, she was going to experience more of that soon. “Why would he hide that from us?” Lucifer hissed. “Isn’t it obvious, he is intimidated by you”. The female looked at him with a confused expression. “Why? He created us,there is nothing about Adam and I that is intimidating”. She said. Lucifer hissed. Even if she was extremely innocent, she was smart. And here he was thinking it will be easy for him to persuade her. “He doesn’t have what you have”. “And that is?”
FLASHBACK 11 Adam’s eyes darted back and forth from his wife to the grapes in her hand, the half eaten grapes. He closed his eyes afterwards, not wanting to accept the truth before him, he didn’t want to accept his wife had gone behind his back and God’s back to eat the fruit. “Adam…say something”. The female begged. Adam finally looked at her, the hurt evident in his eyes. “Why?” He whispered. The female came closer to him, her expression equally sour. “I wanted to make you happy”. She said. Adam shook his head. “You showed me the garden and made me feel welcome, I only wanted to repay you”. Adam shook his head frantically. “Everything I showed you, he showed me. I knew nothing when I came here. I was as clueless as you were, you shouldn’t have done this”. The female looked as though her heart had broken in two. She dropped the grapes to the floor and held unto Adam. “No, no this was not supposed to be your reaction. H
The voice that called out needed no introduction. Both Adam and his wife stood still with their eyes wide opened and their hearts beating fast. The voice did not call again and it didn't need to, Adam knew that if this were some other day he would have answered the call in a heartbeat. But this was not just some other day, this was the day he had done the unthinkable. He kept staring at his wife and she did the same, the grapes had fallen off his hands out of shock. After a while he then took in the appearance of the female. His eyes widened."You're naked". He whispered. The female nodded."You too". She replied."We can't see him like this". The woman nodded again in agreement and looked around frantically. Her eyes landed on the fig tree nearby and she pointed at it."The fig leaves". Adam looked at them puzzled."Yes?""We'll cover ourselves with them". She explained."Oh. Yes, yes let's do that and quickly". They ran quick
Ezra was beyond intrigued. When Abaddon opened his mouth to give him a report, he had not expected what he heard. The angel that had attacked his servant had a bodyguard and they were staying with a poor human family. Ezra could never grasp what the angels did on earth, none of the demons could but this one was the trickiest of them all. He was sure of one thing however, that the female angel was important and now he wanted to meet her himself.Abaddon had been cured by his master and he was now touching his hornless head with a frown on his face but that was all he did. He couldn’t open his mouth to complain, Ezra would turn him into a crisp if he dared. He was lucky to be alive.“This human family”. His master started. “How many are they?”“I only saw one human, a woman. But she looked old enough to have children”.Ezra nodded his head. For him to check things out himself, he needed an excuse. The last thing he w
Aleph immediately used his hands to shield Azaliah and Hagne while he glared hard at Abaddon. He was terrified, this was the first time he was fighting a demon alone, and a high ranked demon for that matter. But he was Azaliah’s protector and his duty was to keep her safe even if he died. He didn’t want to die.Abaddon cocked his head to the side in a teasing manner. He had scanned the angel who had taken a defensive stance against him and he fought the urge to laugh. He expected the fight to be extremely tough but just like the female angel, her guardian was as weak as a leaf.“I’m waiting for you to strike the first blow”. He said tauntingly. Aleph’s frown deepened, the demon was toying with him.Abaddon wanted to know the strength of his powers before he did anything. If there was one thing he learned from his master Ezra, it was that power should not be wasted on the weak.Aleph still didn’t move. Partially be
The same scenario that happened in the morning was taking place again. Hagne and her children were staring wide eyed at the green eyed man that was currently in their home and he stared at them with the same expression. Azaliah however was amused by their constant surprise even if she knew it was expected.“How…how many of you are planning to come here?” Hagne finally asked, her eyes shifted from Azaliah to Aleph. Both angels looked at each other and shrugged simultaenously.“Just us…we hope”.“You hope?” Hagne asked with wide eyes. Azaliah walked up to her and placed a hand on her shoulder, she gasped at the contact.“There’s nothing for you to worry about, you’re safe”. She looked at the three children beside her. “All of you”.“Actually…They are not”. Aleph butted in. “And neither are you”.Azaliah turned slowly to h
“I’m going to kill her! But I need to find her first”. Abaddon crawled on the rough stairs with a loud groan. His body was injured and one part of his horn was missing, he looked more horrible than he already was.“I am going to kill her!”. He repeated, as if that would alleviate his suffering. Abaddon knew his suffering had just begun and it probably won’t end anytime soon. He knew he was extremely stupid crawling back here like he had not failed an important mission, he had a lot of guts. A lot of guts to die.“I’m…going to kill her…” He said again, his voice extremely low this time. He had arrived at his own judgement place and he probably would not be scared.A black, high throne was at the centre of the huge pillar that his master once stood on, with demons surrounding it. The more he came closer, the more they snarled like they could read he was now a failure. The throne, luckily for
To say Hagne was speechless was an understatement. She thought the angel couldn’t look any more divine while she slept, but now she was heavenly breathtaking. And her children agreed with her.Their eyes were wider than saucers and their mouths were open, there was no human being on earth that could look that good. Impossible. The angel in front of them shifted a little like she was uncomfortable, so Hagne drew herself out of her trance and stepped forward. The angel backed away.“Uh…hello”. Hagne awkwardly said. The angel didn’t reply. She eyed Hagne from head to toe before doing the same to her children then she returned her gaze to the woman, still not speaking a word.“My name is Hagne”. Hagne stated, she pointed at her children. “Those are my children, Fia, Ciro and Edvige”.Still no reply. It was Hagne’s turn to shift uncomfortably. Did the angel not like her? Was she that ba
Hagne was slowly regretting her decision of coming here. The stares that the man across her gave was the cause of her regret. She and her husband were seated now, with drinks in front of them. Hagne ordered a cup of water, her husband ordered a beer. As usual. They had been staring at each other for a minute. As awkward as it was, Hagne refused to back down from her glares. She hated him, she had every right to. The fact that he looked even more healthier than her made her hate him more.He now wore expensive robes and clean sandals. She could tell he was fatter and his hair was neatly combed, not as disheveled as it used to be. He actually looked like one of the patricians. She hated it.How dare he be happy? After all the troubles he caused and after he left her to fix her issues on her own. After abandoning his family, for fame and wealth. She hoped he would choke on his beer, or die of liver failure. Any of the two worked for her. After a long
Hagne stared at the sleeping figure on her mat while she slept. The woman that fell from the sky the night before had her white hair cover half of her face. She slept calmly like she was at peace. Hagne had never seen someone as unreal as she, she was like a literal angel. No, she was actually an angel. It was hard for Hagne to process what was going on. Why did the angel have to fall in front of her house? And why did it have to be at a time like this? She decided after a long while that she would leave the questions to the angel when she awoke.Hagne’s eyes darted to the horn that was once in the grasp of the angel, she gulped. She couldn’t help the fear that crept up in her. What kind of thing did she do that got her in trouble with a demon? Because only demons had horns that hideous. But still, the angel must be strong if she could pull that out of the head of a demon.Soft footsteps tore her mind away from her pointless thinking. H
Renato sat on one of the soft chairs in the Consul’s chambers as two concubines each walked in with a tray of food and fruit on one hand and a wine jar on the other. As they set the items on the glass table, the purple transparent linen that they wore stuck to their bodies, showing off their naked skin. The Consul smiled in satisfaction before hitting one of them on her rear end. The lady giggled and ran out of the room with her companion.A sigh escaped Renato’s lips before his eyes took in the designs of the room to distract himself from the scene that took place s few second ago. A small laugh escaped Consul Cicero’s lips and he reached for the jar of wine before pouring its contents into two golden glasses.“I see you like it”. His deep voice boomed throughout the silent room. Renato nodded and smiled slightly.“It’s impressive”. He responded. Cicero laughed.“Of course it is, I make su
“Round them up, put them in the cellar”. The soldiers moved immediately, pushing the group of prisoners into the wooden cellar. Renato watched them from a distance, his hands gripping the reins of his black horse tightly. His face was so stoic, one would think he was about to murder someone. The old man he had arrested earlier was the last to be thrown in. He was covered in blood from head to toe and his breathing was very shallow. Renato tried not to think of the moment of his arrest and also the look of horror on the little girl’s face who was with him. But as much as he tried to pretend, his facade broke immediately the old man looked him in the eye. Renato briefly thought of looking away but then chose not to because of his position. He was a centurion, why would he be scared of an old man? The man in question lifted his pale lips in a small smile before he was dragged into the cellar. As Renato stared as the soldiers closed the doors, the not so
