FLASHBACK 11

Adam’s eyes darted back and forth from his wife to the grapes in her hand, the half eaten grapes. He closed his eyes afterwards, not wanting to accept the truth before him, he didn’t want to accept his wife had gone behind his back and God’s back to eat the fruit.

“Adam…say something”. The female begged. Adam finally looked at her, the hurt evident in his eyes.

“Why?” He whispered. The female came closer to him, her expression equally sour.

“I wanted to make you happy”. She said. Adam shook his head. “You showed me the garden and made me feel welcome, I only wanted to repay you”.

Adam shook his head frantically.

“Everything I showed you, he showed me. I knew nothing when I came here. I was as clueless as you were, you shouldn’t have done this”.

The female looked as though her heart had broken in two. She dropped the grapes to the floor and held unto Adam.

“No, no this was not supposed to be your reaction. H

Hi guys. So I know everybody has heard the story of the garden of Eden, even if you're not Christian you must have heard of it somehow and the 'forbidden fruit' has always been an apple. So here's the thing, the bible didn't actually say that it was apple so this was just something scholars believed it was and even some believed it was a grape. I decided to go with the less popular one because I felt like. It's not really a big deal though, it's not the most important part of the story. It could be a mango , an orange whatever, the point is they ate the forbidden fruit. Okay, hope you enjoyed the chapter.

The voice that called out needed no introduction. Both Adam and his wife stood still with their eyes wide opened and their hearts beating fast. The voice did not call again and it didn't need to, Adam knew that if this were some other day he would have answered the call in a heartbeat. But this was not just some other day, this was the day he had done the unthinkable. He kept staring at his wife and she did the same, the grapes had fallen off his hands out of shock. After a while he then took in the appearance of the female. His eyes widened."You're naked". He whispered. The female nodded."You too". She replied."We can't see him like this". The woman nodded again in agreement and looked around frantically. Her eyes landed on the fig tree nearby and she pointed at it."The fig leaves". Adam looked at them puzzled."Yes?""We'll cover ourselves with them". She explained."Oh. Yes, yes let's do that and quickly". They ran quick

After so many years, one would have thought that Lucifer would have grown accustomed to the world he had landed in but reverse was the case. The more he stared at the occupants of the world, the less he saw of them but it didn’t bother him like before because unlike him, the humans did not see the potential in themselves. And it was all his doing. As he blended into the crowd, he smiled. That smile had never been genuine, it was even more feared than his scowl. From every corner his eyes could reach, there was iniquity. Since the first time he turned man against God, they had taken the baton on their own and did even worse than he had imagined. There were some that foolishly still upheld their belief and those ones were his problem even thought they were smaller in number. He thought he had succeeded for a while after he dealt with Adam and his murderous son but then as always ‘he’ was always ready to destroy his plans. After winning over the w

Azaliah didn’t know which sound to focus on, the hoots and yells of the angels or the light buzzing sound in her ears. She took a deep breath as she shook her head frantically in an attempt to dull the noise. The fear that had gripped her ever since the meeting was still evident and she struggled to hide it from every cheerful angel she walked past.None of them noticed the strained smile she gave them when they greeted her, all of their attention was on the tournament and she was so glad for it. She made her way to where the Cherubs and Archangels sat, drawing the attention of Beth and Michael. The two gave each other a glance before giving her a smile but Azaliah didn’t want to think deep into it. She returned the smile, clearly forced and sat beside Michael the other seat at her left was meant for her mother who had not made an appearance yet.She adjusted herself on her seat, the action drawing the confused eyes of her superiors towards her. • LUCIFER'S BANE   REPEAT OF HISTORY 2

After the brief meeting, Ezra went to work immediately, not because he had any fear or respect for his father but because he had a special mission he had to accomplish. His father. He hated calling him that. He always felt a slight twinge in his heart when the demons called him Lucifer’s son, like it was some kind of honor. He obviously had no choice but to accept it, the last thing he needed was for the subjects to disrespect Lucifer because of him. He didn’t need any form of attention from him at all. From afar, no one would notice the black cloaked figure that walked among the crowd, even when Ezra stuck out like a sore thumb. Humans walked around to do their different tasks, every single one ignoring him like a plague. The humans could see him because he wasn’t fully a spirit, but that didn’t mean that they didn’t sense there was a dark aura that surrounded him and it wasn’t because of the cloak and his evil glare. Ezra walked faster, he would hav

Azaliah watched in horror as heaven fell into an uproar. She had seen this before, angels screaming and yelling, Michael barking commands at the other angels, structures falling and collapsing and speckles of golden dust littering the air. She had seen it all before but this time, it wasn't just in the walls of a temple, it was real. She was living it.She didn't know how long she stood like a statue, completely shocked. Michael, Beth and other powers had gathered around her although they did not make it too obvious. No demon had paid attention to her yet and she was happy about that, the spear that almost hit her face was still in front of her as far as she was concerned."Azaliah. Azaliah snap out of it!!" She heard a voice yell at her while shaking her violently. She shook her head once and stared at the person in front of her. Beth's eyes were wider than that of an ostrich and her hands were shaking and hopelessly holding on to Azaliah's shoulders."I'm here

And that was not even compared to the fact that her life and that of her family could also be in danger."Madam please lower your voice". The trader said with a strained smile. The heavy makeup on her face did not make her stretch the smile any further."You sure you calculated properly?" Hagne inquired. Hagne sat at the dinner table or rather, what was left of it with her children. Fia sat beside her, her eldest and first daughter Edvige sat at the edge of the table and her only son Ciro sat opposite her. In front of them were plates of salad, cheese, fish, eggs, fruits and fried chicken. It was quite different from what they were used to but since it was Fia’s birthday, they had made an exception. Hagne wiped her hand on a brown wash cloth and spread them across the table. “Let us pray”. She said. But her children had already put the forks into their mouth. She blinked once and withdrew her hands. “Never mind”. She grabbed her fork and put some eggs into her mouth. A sigh of satisfaction escaped her lips as she chewed. If only every day was like this, she wouldn’t have to cry herself to sleep every night and wake up with a throbbing headache. The family ate in silence, the only sound that emanated from the table was the clanging of fork on t

Ezra was beyond intrigued. When Abaddon opened his mouth to give him a report, he had not expected what he heard. The angel that had attacked his servant had a bodyguard and they were staying with a poor human family. Ezra could never grasp what the angels did on earth, none of the demons could but this one was the trickiest of them all. He was sure of one thing however, that the female angel was important and now he wanted to meet her himself.Abaddon had been cured by his master and he was now touching his hornless head with a frown on his face but that was all he did. He couldn’t open his mouth to complain, Ezra would turn him into a crisp if he dared. He was lucky to be alive.“This human family”. His master started. “How many are they?”“I only saw one human, a woman. But she looked old enough to have children”.Ezra nodded his head. For him to check things out himself, he needed an excuse. He didn’t want to die.Abaddon cocked his head to the side in a teasing manner. He had scanned the angel who had taken a defensive stance against him and he fought the urge to laugh. He expected the fight to be extremely tough but just like the female angel, her guardian was as weak as a leaf.“I’m waiting for you to strike the first blow”. He said tauntingly. Aleph’s frown deepened, the demon was toying with him.Abaddon wanted to know the strength of his powers before he did anything. If there was one thing he learned from his master Ezra, it was that power should not be wasted on the weak.Aleph still didn’t move. Partially be

Azaliah however was amused by their constant surprise even if she knew it was expected.“How…how many of you are planning to come here?” Hagne finally asked, her eyes shifted from Azaliah to Aleph. Both angels looked at each other and shrugged simultaenously.“Just us…we hope”.“You hope?” Hagne asked with wide eyes. Azaliah walked up to her and placed a hand on her shoulder, she gasped at the contact.“There’s nothing for you to worry about, you’re safe”. Abaddon knew his suffering had just begun and it probably won’t end anytime soon. He knew he was extremely stupid crawling back here like he had not failed an important mission, he had a lot of guts. A lot of guts to die.“I’m…going to kill her…” He said again, his voice extremely low this time. He had arrived at his own judgement place and he probably would not be scared.A black, high throne was at the centre of the huge pillar that his master once stood on, with demons surrounding it. The more he came closer, the more they snarled like they could read he was now a failure. The throne, luckily for

To say Hagne was speechless was an understatement. She thought the angel couldn’t look any more divine while she slept, but now she was heavenly breathtaking. And her children agreed with her.Their eyes were wider than saucers and their mouths were open, there was no human being on earth that could look that good. Impossible. The angel in front of them shifted a little like she was uncomfortable, so Hagne drew herself out of her trance and stepped forward. The angel backed away.“Uh…hello”. Hagne awkwardly said. The angel didn’t reply. She eyed Hagne from head to toe before doing the same to her children then she returned her gaze to the woman, still not speaking a word.“My name is Hagne”. Hagne stated, she pointed at her children. “Those are my children, Fia, Ciro and Edvige”.Still no reply. It was Hagne’s turn to shift uncomfortably. Did the angel not like her? Was she that ba

She slept calmly like she was at peace. Hagne had never seen someone as unreal as she, she was like a literal angel. No, she was actually an angel. It was hard for Hagne to process what was going on. Why did the angel have to fall in front of her house? And why did it have to be at a time like this? She decided after a long while that she would leave the questions to the angel when she awoke.Hagne’s eyes darted to the horn that was once in the grasp of the angel, she gulped. Renato watched them from a distance, his hands gripping the reins of his black horse tightly. His face was so stoic, one would think he was about to murder someone. The old man he had arrested earlier was the last to be thrown in. He was covered in blood from head to toe and his breathing was very shallow. Renato tried not to think of the moment of his arrest and also the look of horror on the little girl’s face who was with him. But as much as he tried to pretend, his facade broke immediately the old man looked him in the eye. Renato briefly thought of looking away but then chose not to because of his position. He was a centurion, why would he be scared of an old man? The man in question lifted his pale lips in a small smile before he was dragged into the cellar.
