CHAPTER 6: Something's Wrong

Alexander's POV

My mate defeated Natalie with one hell of a kick which sent Natalie flying a few meters away and fell unconscious.

With her kick, I doubt Natalie will be able to wake up in just a day even with her werewolf healing.

And gosh I was astonished by her strength.

' Now I know why she's mated to me, she's not just a pretty face but a whole lot better. She's perfect!'

But that Cedric guy has been bothering me since. I can't stop thinking of what happened earlier so I went to look for Cedric's files only to find nothing.

I asked around the teachers for his files but they said they misplaced them and has been looking for them, they're also saying that the documents Cedric gave them are all original copies, so they can't ask him to submit another file, so they made a temporary file since it's their fault.

They gave me the file and I can't believe its contents. The file contains nothing but Cedric's name and age.

Cedric's files have 3 pages, and only the first page has something written on it while the next pages are completely blank.

I tried asking the teachers why are his files blank, they only looked at me confused like I'm saying something ridiculous.

" what are you talking about Alexander? We know you're the alpha's son that's why we're letting you do whatever you wanted, but we can't have you accuse us of handling blank files. We're doing our best in performing our job, so please go back to your class for now."

' What the hell? I was just asking why is his files blank, why would they suddenly get mad at me? It's blank! What's happening?'

There is something wrong with this whole thing, it just doesn't make any sense.

 I was looking outside the window when I saw my mate walked into the woods. She's walking like she's letting her feet bring her anywhere it leads to.

I was about to follow her right away when I saw Cedric following her behind.

' What the hell? Just what is their relationship?'

Cedric suddenly stopped walking, he turned around to where I am, then our eyes met.

' Wh-... How the fuck did he know I was looking at them? '

' I'm too far and the Window is tinted, you can't see from outside! So just how the hell did our eyes meet, No! Maybe I just got it wrong?..'

Cedric tilted his head while staring at me. I can't read this guy, I don't know what's going on inside his head.

Cedric smiled at me, and I don't know why but it gave me shivers down my spine.

' No, I didn't get it wrong! He really can see me!! '

And he turned around to follow my mate.

'What's with that punk? No! I need to follow them.'

I was feeling so uneasy the whole time searching for them.

  I just realized I know nothing about that guy, where he comes from, or what breed he is, he has no scent at all which is impossible, all creatures have different types of smell, and he is the very first-ever person who doesn't have any.

It got me a while to find them, they've gotten pretty deep into the woods and I can't detect Vanessa's smell.

' It must be Cedric's doing, so I won't be able to find them.'

After searching for a while, I heard a faint voice of a woman shouting. I ran in the direction of where the voice is coming from.

I'm sure I heard a man's voice, but when I got there my mate is alone. 

' Where the heck did Cedric go? And why is my mate's face red like a tomato? What did he do to her? And why was she shouting?'

Vanessa's POV

Cedric disappeared like dust, I want to find him, squeeze him for answers but I don't think I can do that with Alexander here.

I can't understand what I'm feeling right now, I feel mad, nervous, and there's a tingly feeling inside my stomach, this is a first, and it is making me feel hot and sick.

'What's happening to me?'

" What's with your face? Why is it so red? Are you okay?" Alexander asked

'He looks concerned...' 

'Wait no! What am thinking? He's only doing this because of my pretty face his concern is not genuine.'

" Why are you here? Are you following me?" Alexander flinched.

"Er.. uhmm... Ahh.. sort of. You see I only followed you because I saw Cedric following you, I'm just worried,.. what if he tries to pull some stunts on you? I just wanted to make sure you are safe." Alexander said as he scratches his neck shyly.

' What the heck! Why's he acting shyly? Damn, he looks so cute!'

'Wait no no no... Snap out of it girl, it's the pull, it's making you think he's cute. Yeah, that's it!'   I told myself.

"Ahem!!.. Whatever! It's getting dark, I'll be leaving then." I said trying to erase my thoughts of him looking cute.

Well, I guess I have to leave things concerning Cedric for today and do the rest tomorrow.

I turned around to leave but stopped my tracks as I felt a sudden irritable feeling, my skin feels so itchy, and when I scratched my hand a skin came off.

' Oh no! I forgot It's time for me to change skin!'

I can't think clearly as the irritable feeling is getting worse. 

Alexander grabbed my shoulder to ask me 'What's wrong?', and his touch only made the irritable feeling worse.

" Let go of me!!!!" I shouted at him. I can't control my voice as I feel so uncomfortable.

He looked hurt by the way I shouted at him, I wanted to apologize for doing so, but then I felt my skin starting to loosen up, ready to fall off anytime.

I didn't look at him he was standing behind me so he hasn't seen a single thing.

But the irritable feeling is just too much to handle.

'i can't take it anymore I need to leave, and find a safe place to change skin.'

" I don't want you following me around, so please leave now!" I said making sure he wouldn't notice my trembling voice.

" No, I can't do that. It's already late and we're so deep inside the woods, I need to make sure you're safe. So please don't push me away..." He said with a caring voice.

I wanted to tell him off again but  I can't take the pain I'm feeling anymore, I took a step forward to leave, but alexander held my hand and my skin peeled off onto his hand.

"Wh- What is this?" Alexander said. Holding my peeled-off skin.
