Chapter 36. Valentines day. Theft and shame

John placed the beautifully boxed necklace on the bed next to a sleeping Adrianna. He picked a single blood red rose from the garden and placed it carefully on the box. He then sat down at her table, picking up a pink sheet of paper he delicately wrote.

" To the love of my life, Adrianna Smith.

I know we have gotten off on the wrong foot. There is alwayd miscommunication and mistrust between us but one thing I want you to know, is that I John Smith loves you dearly with all my heart and soul. Please accept my gift as a token of my love for you.

It was Thursday, market day. John left as usual to the early morning market to get the most freshest greens in the state. This was his weekly chore.
