GAIA

I wanted to meet up with Javon in an open place but then the sight of seeing the opposing lawyer in a court case with the culprit wasn't exactly the way I wanted to start my career.

So we ended up meeting in his car.

“I just need my phone, Javon. That's all. There's nothing to speak to you about.”

He brought the phone out and handed it to me.

“Are you sure there isn't?”

I brought out his phone and the screen lit up. It was a picture of me he had used as his screensaver. I didn't want to pay attention to it because I was sure he had done it on purpose. After all, he wanted to mess with my head.

“There isn't, Javon. What do you want to hear? That he's yours? Don't be ridiculous.”

“Then who's child is he, Gaia? Who? I know you didn't get remarried, I know you didn't cheat on me so who's child is he?”

I hadn't planned out what to tell him because I didn't think he would be finding out this early so there was nothing to fear.
