Stuck in the hospital

Ethan's eyelids lifted slowly, revealing his surroundings. The distinct, sharp scent of antiseptic stung his nostrils, immediately catching his attention.

He blinked repeatedly, attempting to clear his vision. As his eyes struggled to focus, he scanned the room, desperate to make sense of his surroundings. However, the shapes and colors blurred together, creating a confusing scene that left him wondering where he was.

Ethan's body was drained of energy, he took a moment to simply lie still on the soft, comforting surface beneath him, allowing himself to relax.

"Where am I?" he whispered hoarsely, the words getting stuck in his dry parched throat. Panicked thoughts raced through his mind. "Wait! Did I die?"

The images flashed before his eyes and he remembered seeing himself on the road and then all of a sudden, everything went blank.

He couldn't remember anything after. Was he now in heaven?
