Eavesdropping

Abigail's POV

"Snow!" I called out again, my voice hoarse as I struggled to catch my breath.

My fluffy little cutie was really trying hard to make me go after him, yes he was a male.

Snow came to an abrupt stop, he turned to look at me and I saw him lying quietly on the floor.

"Are you ready to stop running?" I said, grinning as I approached him.

I gently stroked the soft fur of his back, my fingers sinking into the plush white coat. He was very warm and fluffy also.

I smiled down at Snow, my heart melting as I gazed at his fuzzy little face. "You're such a good boy," I murmured, my voice thick with emotion. I held him close as I walked into the kitchen, feeling a sense of relief that he was safe in my arms and partly because I didn't have the strength to run after him again.

As I walked towards the main kitchen, I heard sobs from the room, the sobs grew louder and I stopped to listen.

It was safe to call it eavesdropping. I stood beside the door and placed my head near it
