Abigail's POV

My gaze fell on the outer parts of the gates and I watched as the maids and servants carried some foodstuffs into the mansion.

I was starting to get bored in the room, fighting the urge to wake Audrey up. He loved playing tic tac and the board game lay on the floor, untouched.

The doctors said he needed some rest and time to recover. Above all, I was just glad that he was doing okay.

Bit by bit, his strength was returning. Gradually, he could muster the energy to sit up, eat, and even take a warm bath, the gentle touch of the water against his skin was a reminder that he was on the path to recovery.

Audrey was a strong little kid, and I felt proud of him.

I moved away from the window and got closer to the bed, he was snoring quietly and I couldn't help myself from admiring the cute mini version of Henry.

My hands cupped his cheeks gently and I felt my eyes water.

Despite the doctor's reassurances, I was still a bit scared, I couldn't wait for the day when he would ret
