~FLASHBACKWhen her eyes opened again after a week, Sia found a completely white ceiling staring back at her. She felt numb and dead. Each part of her body hurted badly which made her sure that for the first time in her life, her prayers were heard.Doctors came and checked up on her. And then he came. Hardin. The man she had started to hate truly for this time. She did not want to see him but she had to.“ Wh-Where is Emma? ” This was the first thing that she choked out to him without any delay. She needed to see her and keep her safe.“ You should take some rest. ” Hardin whispered as his fingers pushed her hair behind her ear softly “ Tell me... ” Sia whispered back feeling the lump forming in her throat.“ Lucas still has her. ” He told her truthfully and it was like the whole world fell down on her at once. AUTHOR'S POV Stepping back in her room with the parcel in her hands, Sia tried hard to not start crying. “ Sia... ” Hardin's voice made her look up from the parcel and stare at him instead. Instinctively, he stepped forth and pulled her in a hug. His chin rested above her head as he sighed out hoping to get a reaction from her. Any reaction from her. She looked dead. “ I hate you... ” Sia whispered out and pushed him away weakly. Hardin gulped as his heart skipped a beat “ It's all because you. ” A tear slid down Sia's cheeks and she raised her gaze to meet his blue eyes. “ Leave me alone Hardin. Please... ” Her voice was barely a whisper but Hardin was able to hear her clearly. A lump formed in Hardin's throat as he nodded his head in a trance and marched to the door. Pulling it open, he glanced at Sia for the last time and closed the door behind him
AUTHOR'S POV Hardin's eyes roamed around the whole room before stopping at Sia who was giving him a hateful look. “ You lied to me! ” Sia hissed and rushed to Hardin before grabbing his coat, glaring at him. “ Sia! Look. Its not like this. ” Louis buttoned up his shirt back and came closer to her but Sia was not listening. She was just glaring at Hardin with tears filling up her eyes. She did not want to believe anything. But the evidence was in front of her. When she read John's diary today, Sia found out that John was the one who gave all those evidence against them to Hardin so he could blackmail her to marry him. And Louis staged all the drama of getting shot by him. In reality, it never happened. They all tricked and trapped her into marrying Hardin. She had even found the reason. The reason was simple. Hardin told John how evil Lucas was and John instantly agreed on
AUTHOR'S POV Hardin wanted to tell Sia everything so bad but she did not listen to him. He wanted to tell her that he got Emma back from Lucas. That she had nothing to fear anymore but when he came, she was angry at him for deceiving her. He had to do everything like that because he could not hurt Louis or any of Sia's friends as she cared about them a great deal. He would never hurt her like that. When she left, Louis told Harry everything and he too was shocked by it. He left without saying anything and now it was Louis with Hardin left in the conference room. “ We should talk to her. ” Louis suggested in a tired tone and Hardin's eyes shot up to stare him down. Louis was right. They needed to talk to her. “ Let's go then. ” Shrugging his shoulders, Hardin started walking out, followed by Louis who was still worried and sad because it was all his fault. ****
AUTHOR'S POV It was like Life had some kind of agenda against Sia. Everytime she thought, she would finally get some relief, life made her regret ever thinking like this. A week ago, they arrested her for Lucas's murder. Because apparently, her fingerprints were on the knife, there was a cut on her thumb, then Lucas had tried to kill her in defense after she stabbed him. And on the other note, The police received a tip about John and Emily's dead bodies. When they digged those graves, they found two bodies and identified them as John and Emily. There was Sia's necklace. Right in Emily's grave and she had an accident just a little away from those graves. So, everything was against her. Even if Lucas died, he made sure that Sia was never able to live in peace. He turned the whole world against her before dying. Right when Emma was finally back to Sia, they both were ripped apart from each other on
AUTHOR'S POV The day arrived. The day when the hearing was being held in the court. The female officers came to take Sia to the court early in the morning and she walked behind them silently after getting handcuffed. The drive to the court felt like she had travelled years. The reporters were outside of the prison but the police had kept them away from Sia. As she was pulled out of the police van outside of the court, Sia's eyes found all the reporters waiting there for her as well. “ Ms Sia Martin! Why did you kill your friends? ” A reporter shouted at her. “ How do you feel about this case? ” Another yelled. “ Are you going to confess to your crimes or are you going to plead innocent in the court today? ” Another one asked coming right in her face but Sia kept her head down not looking at any of them. Her mind was too caug
AUTHOR'S POV “ Sia! ” Louis called out to her as soon as the hearing was over and she turned her head at him, to stare him down emotionlessly. Gulping, he marched to her and stopped at a distance, hesitantly. Sia could see his reluctance clearly shining in his eyes but she did not care anymore. She really did not care about anything. “ I will be taking my leave now, Ms Martin. ” Austin Wayne announced from behind Sia with his hawk like eyes observing Louis. “ Sure. Thank you and Goodbye. ” Sia shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly without sparing him a glance as her eyes were busy gazing at Louis. Picking up his bag, Austin Wayne moved past both of them and walked out of the courtroom just like the rest of the people, leaving only Hardin, Harry, Louis and Sia behind to suffer in the suffocating silence. “ I am sorry. ” Louis blurted out as soon as he fou
AUTHOR'S POV “ What is it? Tell me now. ” Sia sat down on the couch leisurely after she took shower and dressed up in a grey sweater and black jeans. She had asked Mr. Darwin Easter to wait earlier because she was not prepared to listen to whatever he was going to tell her next. Lucas's will? What did Sia have to do with Lucas's will? It was not like he would give anything to her or she was supposed to recieve anything from him in general. “ I bought Lucas Brown's will. Before dying, he requested this will be to be read to you as he had no family of his own. ” Darwin Easter started after observing her normal expressions. He was pleased to finally meet Sia Martin who was talked among all group of people. She was an exceptionally intelligent woman and everyone admired her for it. “ Okay. What do I have to do with the will? ” Sia nodded her head in slow motion trying
AUTHOR'S POV “ I left her at the gate of the orphanage to save her life. ” The man said in a hoarse whisper. If there was not a mini mic attached to his shirt, Sia would not have been able to even hear his voice through the video playing. Confusion washed over Sia combined with dread that the man in the video might be talking about her. Her hands were trembling as she clicked on the pause button and the video stopped. Was she ready for it? No. No. She was not ready. She did not want to know whatever it was but staring at the man, she knew she needed to know what it was all about. With her shaky fingers, Sia pressed on the button again and the video starting running. “ Tell everything from the start. ” Lucas's cold voice appeared from behind the camera again and Sia held her breath. The man glanced at someone behind the camera and turned to stare right through
