FUTURE GAMMA FEMALE GISELLE. ‘Are you and Marlon dating?’ Alpha Ledger asked, and I was sure there was a low growl with it. I was about to answer him when I bumped into Auri, who deliberately bumped her shoulder against mine as she passed by. And he’s behind bars, so he can’t really do anything to me.” “I’m sure he won’t harm you.” Lexi reached for my hand and squeezed it. “Good luck, Marcia.” “I know we’d talk about this, but I just want to say it again. I don’t think I can accept him because of what he did to you.” “I appreciate that you were thinking of me, but, like I said, I think everyone deserves a second chance. FUTURE GAMMA FEMALE GISELLE I clutched the red flag in my hand tightly as I scoured the quadrangle. We were dismissed for lunch, but it seemed no one wanted to move to the mess hall or go somewhere else as the delegates were still there, huddling and discussing things while I kept looking around, trying to spot my Alpha. I hope he didn’t forget that he promised lunch to me as well. My shoulders slumped when I couldn’t find Auri. Did they leave together? Did the Alpha remember that he was on a lunch date with her and decided to dump me because, of course, I was just one of his warriors and nothing important? Why did I even take the time to wait for everyone to leave the clearing before grabbing this red flag where we raised it? I wanted to show Alpha Ledger that my team won, as I said I would, through this flag. Dad told me to lay everything out in the open, and if I was okay with taking it one step at a time, then I had to win her trust first. But I didn’t want any males around her, especially since this camp was overloaded with males. I knew I could not change her mind to leave this camp because Giselle was simply not like that. She always finished what she started, so there was no way I saw her quitting this camp before it was over. I just had to live with missing her for a month. But what the heck? Despite the happiness I was feeling, another reality just sank in. We were not fated mates. There was no way I would find out if he ever became intimate with someone.
