I turned slowly while moving my hand on the side of the bed to touch Mia. When I couldn't, I quickly opened my eyes and sat upright.

"Mia," I whispered in fear.

How the hell did I sleep and lower my guard down. Where was she?. What if something bad had happened to her while I was asleep.
