It was almost eleven in the morning when Gil and Maan left for Las Pinas. Just like what Joan requested they brought with them two large disposable food containers of sticky rice with mangoes and maja blanca. It took them 30 minutes to reach a spacious lot where a modern two-storey house stood fenced with a black gate and a well- manicured lawn. Gil honked his car and after a short while a smiling Joan opened the gate to let the car in. Right when the car stopped, Maan did not wait for Gil to open the car door for her and she excitedly went out to hug Joan.
