There was a moment of silence between Lyv and I as we stared into the clouds that moved at a slow pace. We were laying down on the mirrored-like waters a few feet away from the black obelisk. The waters flowed slowly behind our back – it was the only gentle noise that could be heard on the peaceful plane. There were mere seconds as we stared right up above the slow-moving clouds that I wished could be forever.
I sighed loudly for Lyv to hear. I could see her look at me in the corner of my eyes. She propped her elbow and faced me, tilting her head slightly to me. “Are you okay?”
I pursed my lips, shrugging half-heartedly, “Yeah. I just wished this could last.”
She laid back down on the slow-moving waters making a tiny slosh sound, her hands entwined together on her stomach. “Well,
The Witch of Neverwhere.I sighed loudly. I seemed to have forgotten about what she said. How could I forget such things that are important? I wanted to bang my head against the counter for forgetting things. Why am I such a forgetful person?“You forgot, didn’t you?”, Lyv smiled gently, tilting her head to the side slightly.I embarrassingly looked down at my boots and nodded. I could feel my cheeks redden. “Yeah.”, I mumbled, biting my lip hard. The events that have happened must’ve taken my mind off of it completely that I forgot about that. I mean, who wouldn’t? Wanting to have peace instead of having a huge responsibility on my shoulders, or having this undeniable pain aching
"I have avoided the pain that I have brought upon myself by adoring you from afar. Far enough that I couldn't even touch you, or talk to you. I avoided everything that I knew little about you. Because I knew, that it would hurt greatly. I adored someone who doesn't see me the way I do to her. This familiar pain I've felt for you, no, I have inflicted on myself by hoping that I could have a chance with you – was a mere delusion and false hope I had.I could never have you. You never saw me the way I did. It was a making of my own mind, a theatrical joke that I, myself, conducted. It was, is, laughable.A false hope.I think of you, yes &ndas
“What was that?”, Leah inspected the room. I was still slumped in Lyv’s arm, holding me tight as if I would go away any moment she would let go.Things around the room were a cluttered mess. Tables turned, a chair broke its leg, books everywhere, papers and vases broken to pieces. It was like the room just had its own storm. Everything was turned upside down save for the shelves that were mounted on the floor. The air around the room was thin – breathing deeply was hard.Leah sniffed something that caught on her nose. “Do you smell that?”, she walks around, trying to find the source of the smell. “It’s getting stronger.” She crouches down and snuffs through the almost empty shelves. Placing her hand on one of the shelves – she looked through it and saw one book that was left standing oddly than the res
**Another third person’s POV** In another far distant place in the world, there stood a woman, jet black hair in a tight proper bun, basking in the heavy rain with her black umbrella taking in the heaviness of the pouring water – the hem of her brown coat and her slick black boots were wet. Her hands were in the pockets of her coat. She stood eerily, watching someone from across to where she was. Red lips as red as blood smiling, the collar of her coat hiding the mischievousness of it. Black as the void sunglasses sat atop her nose. Covering her eyes to anyone who pried to look – masking her sight on the prey to avoid suspicion. It was like she was one with the shadows, the darkness that surrounds the night, invisible to others’ eyes. And with the heavy rain pouring, it was a great cover for an Ender
There was a moment's hesitation when Leah struck her knife towards the abdomen of Lyv as a transformed Serpent, but nonetheless, she struck it – avoiding any vital organs. I yelped helplessly behind Leah, standing out of the way from them. Lyv hissed and screamed, and retreated back into the smoke she created. There was nothing we could do much in the smoke but to wait and listen to her as Lyv prepares for her next ambush attack. I gripped Leah’s shirt in the back, afraid of losing her in the smoke. “Was that a fatal wound you gave her?”, I asked her in a hushed tone. She leaned in a bit to reply. “Not really, it was just to slow her down. Don’t worry, I avoided any organ in her abdomen. It’ll heal.”, she assured me.
**Third Person’s POV**The silver-haired woman curled up like a ball on the side, avoiding the fight between the two strangers fighting for her life. Every blow they take shook every core of the poor innocent woman. She thought, was this the end of her? Was this how she dies? At the hands of a stranger, and a death, meaningless? The rain was still pouring hard, her tears covered by it. The night was long, she had thought, if only she had stayed home. She looks up at the dark sky. She sighs, there were no stars at all. She had hoped to see stars when she dies. Tears rolled down her cheeks though it looked like it was the rain. She was helpless. Her hopes diminished. She heard the man shout, she looked at the fight –
“Ugh.”, Tyson moaned and rolled his eyes as if he hadn’t eaten for years. “God this is the best food I’ve had.”Mike looked at his brother with furrowed brows and scoffed mockingly. “What, you haven’t eaten beans in all your life?”His brother gave him a death stare. “Shut up. I just haven’t eaten for days.”Lyv raised one brow at him. “Oh really? You’re such a baby.” She gave him a teasing look.“I’ll punch you in the face.”, Tyson spat.“Oh, you’ll hit a girl?”, she batted her eyelashes at him.Tyson was about to reply back again but Leah interrupte
**Third Person’s POV** There were histories that were forgotten. Histories that marked the last days of a race, histories that stemmed from the root of all the events happening in the present times. There weren’t many who knew the roots of it, and there are also few others that still lived in the present times who knew about it. But there was only one who remained to live who knew. The old witch of Neverwhere looked down on the casket, mourning for the death of someone very close to her. She had thoughts of how she was now the only living person to know all of the secrets of Kósmima. If she were to die tomorrow, all histories and secrets of the hidden Jewels of Worlds would be lost and forgotten forever. She knew she needed to do something to preserve the histories and secrets of Kósmima. She had one person in mind, a young one, her apprentice – Maya Faramis. Leah’s older sister, they had the same features, except Maya colors her hair purple. S
Red glowing eyes. A mischievous grin. I am finally free. After being inside this girl's mind, yearning to be let free from those dark clouded place, devoid of life apart from mine – now, I can rage all I want. For all I care, I will let them taste real hatred. Yes, I felt your pain. A long-held pain that brought me to this world. Those were the very core of how you created me. The hatred, the loneliness, the sadness. I am the villain and the hero. But it all depends on the people around you, doesn’t it? How they act towards you. And when one betrays you–kills the people you love. The very people that you never had the second chance to reconcile with. They will pay. I stared at my bright glowing ruby eyes from the faint reflection of the blood that oozed on the floor. Unmoving from Mona’s grip, I felt my powers heat in my veins slowly. I could feel it slithering.
“It is you!”, Hughes’ face brightened. Hope filled in his red eyes as he held onto the princess and rightful true heir of Kósmima. He glances back to his companion and then back to the clueless heir as to why he was so happy seeing her than when seeing his two sons. “I…”, he cut short and exhaled a relief breath – placing his arms behind him and bowing like the knight he was. “Your Highness, I have finally found you, although accidentally. But I was trying to look for you in every corner of the second earth.” He explained.I was speechless and did not know what to say to him. Should I say thank you? But I quite did not know in the first place someone was looking for me. Only recently I found out about the Ender’s and the things that seem overwhelming. His two companions came walking towards us with curious gazes as to what was happening. “Hughes?”, Evan called out.The burly man raised his head and looks at Evan. “Evan, this is her. The heir. She’s the one I have been looking for!”, h
How did my plans change from going back to that Library to having to find the truth about everything in this other world? I wondered as I sat here in the small kitchen with Maya and Leah, walking about to prepare for the journey.“Do you guys know where the Library is?”, I suddenly blurted out, interrupting whatever the sisters were discussingand putting in the bag. They bothstopped tolook at me. “You mean the Hall of Teleportation?”, Maya said.I gazed at her. “The Hall of…Teleportation?”I sat there with my hands on my side. I now must have looked stupid. They nodded. “Didn’t the owl tell you?”“Fish? No, he didn’t.”, I replied.“Fish?”, Maya looked at me confusedly. “You named an owl, Fish?”I nodded, intertwining my fingers on the table, flustered that I gave the owl figurine an absurd name.
*Leah’s POV* The way they recognized each other felt like a damn stab in my own heart. Of all people she could have met in the other world, it was my sister, Maya. I didn’t think she goes that way – liking women. I had never regretted my decisions in all my life. This was the first I regretted it. But I didn’t know, did I? I did not know that they knew each other, that they were lovers then. Of course I wouldn’t know anything that goes on with my sister’s life at all. She has her own life as an apprentice of the witch, and I had mine as the now-successor of the Faramis family after she left to live on her own a few years back. All her responsibility as an older sister was passed down onto me. All the difficult trainings, the wounds and the broken bones I had, all the pressure that my father gave, all of the responsibilities. But now I wasn’t complaining. Without those trainings, I wouldn’t be this good now. I wouldn’t have met Selina who I, might I clichéd-ly add, that I have liked t

*At another place in Kósmima* “So, I’m the bait?” Hughes nodded. He has just finished explaining to Selena what the witch meant after a thorough thought earlier. “I couldn’t find the real heir yet, but, it would stop the Ender’s from killing women named Selina.” Selena pursed her lips, nodding. “I see, so I become the hero of everyone.” The black-haired man rubs his nape. Seemingly not knowing what to answer. “I guess, yeah.” Selena stood up from the stone she was sitting on and looked out the wonderful view for the last time. “Let’s not dilly dally, what do I need to do?” Hughes was surprised by her answer. He didn’t think she would agree to this. “Your courage and bravery will be acknowledged.”, he complimented. She smiled at him. “Thank you.” Hughes, like the gentleman he is, offered his hand toward Selena as they walked down the steep pathway. He decided that they head to the Zona, his homeland, the l
We decided to come back to Kósmima after some deliberate voting as to what we should do and pursue at this time. And I had decided, for all of them, that I take charge of where we were going. Of course, I didn’t want to ignore the brother’s request of finding their father in the real world, but logically speaking, we didn’t know where we would start looking. So we decided to go back here to Kósmima. Leah had suggested that we visit the witch of Neverwhere. And I agreed to this. I wanted to find answers first to this prophecy. And here we are, at the edge of the forest of Neverwhere. The place where I had awakened my sleeping powers. I was a little nauseous from the teleportation still, but I was getting the hang of it slowly.Leah chanted some kind of spe
