II

A 15 years boy was running to his fullest speed across the field. He didn't care to look back to see if anyone is still following him or not, he just kept on running with his short legs. He took a deep breath to steady his breathing when he finally found his mother who was sitting with her in-laws and made his way to her. Wiping his tears the little boy looked at the field of his father's old house and went stiff seeing the culprits making way towards him. The boy started sweating and mumbling inaudible words.

"Jun...Jun...JUN" 

Seong shouted enough to get Jun out of his nightmare and stare at his Hyung with still tear-filled eyes.

"What is wrong with you. You are at it again, all shouting and kicking your legs. You fucking know how I hate it when u do this." 

Jun's Hyung scolded him while switching on the lamp light placed on the side table. Still traumatized by the nightmare Jun gets more scared when Seong started yelling at him.

"I'm sorry hyung, it was just a nightmare. I'm sorry to disturb your sleep,"

said Jun while taking a deep breath to calm himself down.

"Enough of your daily Shit. Get out of my room right now. I have school to go to tomorrow, not like you who just sits at the house doing God knows what. GET THE HELL LOST NOW."

having enough of Jun's nightmares Seong blasted and yelled at his already teary brother. Not having any choice Jun just lowers his head and walks out of the room saying sorry once again and closed the door. He walked to the living room and found the couch which he thought would be enough for him to fit. Laying his small frame on the much small couch the little boy drifts off to sleep again with tears streaming down from the corner of his eyes.

"WAKE UP YOU DUMBASS... I'm hungry."

startled by the sudden pain on his left arm Jun woke up to find himself on the floor with Yuri glaring at him. He figured that Yuri might have shaken him a bit too hard that he landed on the floor.

"yeah yeah I'm awake. Give me a minute to at least freshen up."

Jun said while standing and rubbing his paining arm. He hesitated to go to Seong's room to freshen up but went inside anyway. As he entered the room he saw seong was going to wake up any time soon, so he hurried his steps and went inside the bathroom to complete his morning routine.

After the usual routine of breakfast and dishwashing, Jun thought of calling his grandmother as he settled himself on the couch after completing his task in the kitchen.

"Hello, Junnie?"

Jun smiled a big one when his grandma recognized him as soon as she answered the call. His grandma couldn't handle a phone so she doesn't save anyone's number even though Jun is the only person who would call her often.

"Neh grandma, I'm your Junnie. How are you?"

his grandma chuckles on the other side as she talks with her grandson whom she loves more than her real sons.

"Junnie before you hang up... When are you going to come here tell me Now.. Cause I've been waiting for you for soo long? You know I miss you... right honey." 

Jun silently sighs as he doesn't really know what to answer her. He misses her too, As for him, there are only two people in his world that understand and love him. Jiho and his grandma.

Yes, he knows that his family doesn't really like him cause they think of him as a dark stain on their family name but he never understood the reason behind it. He just tried to prove himself, not even knowing what exactly is there to prove. So he always tried to make them happy by doing anything he could.

"Junnie... U there honey? "

her voice brings Jun back from his thoughts as he prepares himself to lie once again to his beloved grandma.

"yeah grandma, I'm here. I miss you a lot too. But you know right that this house won't function without me. But don't worry babe...i will be there soon..soon grandma. Take care ok. I love you."

and with that Jun ended the call and sighed loudly. He hates lying to her but what else choice does he have...he can't go there till his parents permit him to do so. Which he doubts they ever would.

Taking a look around the empty house Jun realizes that his work for today ended early. So he texts Jiho to meet him at the park near his house. Without thinking much of his parents Jun happily skips his way towards the park after locking all the doors.

Wrapped beautifully in a yellow hoodie and ripped jeans, Jun walked out of his building smiling ear to ear.

"going out for just a while won't do any harm. I'll be back before anyone returns home... Yeah, it's alright ."

talking to himself Jun, didn't notice that a round-eyed boy is almost running into him. Jun stubbles back a bit because of the strong hug his friend gave him.

"Ji-ho.... I'll die... "

Jun chokes on-air as Jiho releases him from the tight hug.

"what the FUCK.... Why would you do that, ouch seriously"

Jun glares at his best friend who just mercilessly hurt him hard on his right arm.

"It's your punishment you bitch. How can you do this to me, you messaged me now after a month of hiatus... Be thankful I didn't strangle you."

Jiho huffs as he glares at his best friend who showed his face after a month from a long shitty hiatus.

"sorry Jiho-ya, but you know how my life works right."

Jun just flashed a sad smile to his friend which made Jiho to go silent instantly because he knows how jun's life is said to be a living hell.

"Jun...why don't you just leave that house. You are adult enough then why do you go through this hell every day?"

Jun just sighed as Jiho let out his words which he has heard a lot of times.

"you know I can't Jiho. They will haunt me down and bring me back in here."

Jiho just sighed and thought of just letting this topic go for now cause he doesn't want to waste this time with his best friend.

"Cut this crap and let's enjoy,"

Jiho said as he grabbed Jun's wrist leading him to the park.

"He is taller than me though you know...though that just makes him more handsome"

Jun just smiled a big one as Jiho was telling him about his boyfriend Kim-Hajun. Jiho was blushing so much from just talking about him that Jun felt Sooo happy for his best friend. He was a bit envious too because all his life he has never dated anyone even though he got lots of proposals in his school time. But he only believed in true love. He was just waiting for someone who would love him for his heart and not his body. As both the best friends kept on talking about random things and roaming around the park, they didn't realize that the time flew by way too fast.

Jun was just listening to his friend as he didn't have much to say, but still, he had a feeling that he was missing something. As if getting hit by lightning Jun realized the time as he observed the sun setting down and announcing that it's almost night.

Jun hurriedly pulled his phone out of his pocket and stopped in his tracks as he saw 5 missed calls from his mother and 3 missed calls from his sister. Fear rushed over his body and he started shaking. Jiho felt the sudden silence beside him and turned around just to see his best friend standing and shaking.

"hey what happened?"

Jiho asked as he ran towards Jun. Snapping out of his trance Jun just looked at his friend and shook his head and started running towards his house saying a quick goodbye to him. He didn't care if a car would hit him while running across the street but he just thought of getting back home. Running from the park to his house, Jun was already out of breath but he calmed himself down quickly and ranged the doorbell to his hell.

As soon as the door opened Jun's heartbeat stopped for a moment as he came face to face with fierce eyes which are sending chills to his body. Gulping the fear for a moment Jun took a step inside the house,

"I'm-I'm sorry mom... I didn't kne-knew when my phone--"

the boy didn't get to complete his sentence when a tight slap dropped him on the floor. Tears formed in his eyes as he looked at his mother who didn't seem less than a beast.

"You slut"

his mom shouted with another slap on the boy's cheek.

"How in the fucking hell did you dare to go out of this house without my permission"

another slap. Jun didn't dare to answer back as he knew if he did, he would not be spared with only slaps. After another 3 or 4 slaps, Jun tried to talk to his mom who was glaring at him.

"i-i just went to the park... I comp--completed my whole work early... "

there again he didn't get to complete his sentence and was kicked on his stomach.

"oh I know well, why did you leave the house. You were trying to seduce people out there to fuck your ass up, right. You slut. You are such a disgrace to our family."

and that's it... That broke Jun beyond repair cause everything was OK with him, but his mother saying all these things about his character makes him die inside. Bowing his head down he just kept on listening to his mother's words which were acting as knives piercing right through his heart.

Being satisfied with all the beating Mrs. Yu locked Jun in Seong's room for the night. She didn't want to see a sluts face during dinner.

Hiding his face between his knees Jun cried his heart out. The words of his mother kept on running through his head like a cursed song. Which he didn't like at all. He sprang up straight with tears in his eyes, Jun ruffles through his drawer and smiles a bit seeing a shiny thing below his old books. Taking the shiny blade out of the drawer, he swiftly rolls the sleeves of his hoodie up showing multiple marks of scratches. Closing his eyes Jun runs the blade on his skin and hissing as the pain shots through his body. Looking at the blood flowing through his wrist, Jun sat down on the floor and closed his eyes with a small smile. This has been his almost regular thing to feel some Relief. As blood runs down from his hand Jun fills like all his pain is running out too.

He never would try to kill himself because he believes that one day he will be happy and would have someone who would love him a lot. But sometimes as in times like this, he wishes to just vanish from this world so no one would ever be bothered because of him. Sighing Jun cleans his wounds with water and just sits on the floor doing nothing.

"Why don't you leave that hell already Jun."

Jiho's voice ranged through his head and Jun took a deep breath & nodded to himself. Picking up his old backpack jun fills it with some of his clothes and old books. After packing all the stuff jun started searching everywhere in the room if he could find any money. As if luck was on his side, jun found Seong's wallet under the bed.

"I think he forgot it today... Sorry, Hyung. I'll return it later. If I can"

apologizing to no one Jun takes a deep breath and jumps off the window to the backside of the house. Looking at the house or to be precise... hell, for the last time Jun adjusted his hoodie covering his bruised face and tears. Jun ran away. Not knowing where to go, the pained soul kept on running...away from that hell.
