Lissa came rushing back inside looking like someone had died. She couldn’t speak and kept opening her mouth and closing it without a word coming out. Tears streamed down her cheeks.

Her mother rushed to her side worry written all over her face. “Vaselissa, what is wrong darling, talk to mama. What happened my love.” She cooed and I could not help but envy Lissa.

I never got that with our mother, and I always thought I was over it and have accepted that mother will always love her more than she loved me but seeing her like this now. It hurt. I was not over it at all.

“Jeyden, he needs help. He collapsed.” The alpha, Jeyden’s father, mother, and Lissa all rushed outside. I went and took a seat on my father’s left while Aegen took his right.

He was looking at me this whole time like he wanted to say something. “You can go and see what is wrong with him if that is what you want. You don’t have to sit her for my sake.” I felt offended by his words but then again.
