IANNA

That night I slept like a log; I did not dream about anything or wake up in the middle of the night. I think I was tired to a point that I just shut down. But I felt relaxed and well rested this morning.

I went for a run, something I have not done in weeks since this damn war started. I came back and went to fetch breakfast for Aegen and I. he was still asleep when I got back, and I didn’t wake him.

He needed his rest after everything that happed. There was a knock on the door, and I went to open. Aegen’s mother was standing on the other side of the door. “Good morning, Ianna. How are you doing?”

I smiled opening the door wider for her to get inside. “I am fine, well rested. How are you?” she glanced at me giving me a small smile. “I have had better nights. Aegen here?” I nodded going to pour her a cup of coffee.

“He is but still sleeping.” She took a seat next to me. “That’s alright, I am not in a hurry. Will you attend Christina and Adolph’s funeral? I organized them for this

Well. I got as far as I could. The "She is only 16" chant doesn't work anymore. She is insufferable tbh
