Margot crouched in front of Lilac and spoke with a voice laced with irritation.

"Lilac, you've got to stop this. I'm getting really upset. We managed just fine before he came into our lives, so why does it feel like you can't go on without him now?

"Lilac, come on. Stop crying, okay? What if we visit Anthony at the hospital? Would that help?"
