Chapter 429

Early the next morning, Lilac noticed that Margot was not beside her when she woke up. She got down from the bed to put on her shoes. She then headed out to look for Margot.

She was curious when she saw Margot sleeping in the other bedroom. Natalie was also sleeping beside her. She wondered when Natalie had come over to their house.

Upon seeing that both Margot and Natalie were still asleep, Lilac did not wake them up. She sensibly walked out to prepare breakfast.

The doorbell rang just as she was walking out to the living room.

Lilac ran to the entrance. Since she was too short, she couldn't reach the peephole to look out from the door.

She then pressed herself against the door and cautiously shouted, "Who's that? Who are you looking for?"

Curtis could hear Lilac's voice from the outside. He then replied softly, "It's me."
