Royce knew that no one from the Morris family was to be trifled with. He was afraid Calvin might hurt Margot and quickly shielded her behind him.

He looked at Calvin and said, "Why must you resort to killing her, Calvin? Wouldn't it be enough to separate Margot from Anthony and forbid them to meet anymore?

"Just look at her. She's just a frail woman. Not only did your mother order people to whip her, but her face was even disfigured personally by your mother."
