Lilac wasn't afraid at all even though she was carried by a stranger in the opposite direction of her home.

She even found it interesting as she laughed and shouted, "Go, Miss! You'll catch that Mister soon! Hurry up, Miss! You're doing great. We caught up with Mister now!"

Laura was amused as she reached over to pinch Lilac's cheeks.

She asked, "You little brat! Aren't you afraid that I'll sell you off?"

She had to give Lilac some credit. The girl didn't cry or throw any tantrums when she was with a stranger. She was even happy.

Lilac smiled and replied sweetly, "I'm not worth much, Miss. Is Mister going to catch some fish at the seaside? I know how to catch fish, too! Let me down quickly!"

They crossed a road and walked further down. Lilac was eager to walk on her own when she saw the familiar beach.

Laura couldn't resist her, so she could only let Lilac down. Lilac ran straight toward Curtis ahead of her and stood in front of him.
