Margot was gone? She was… gone?

Curtis' heart thumped. He tried his best to compose himself.

He asked in a low voice, "How could a grown person be gone when I've already sent so many men to guard her?"

What did Doris mean by gone? Did that mean that they couldn't find Margot and she had disappeared?

That was impossible. The villa was only so big, so where could she possibly be hiding? Curtis refused to believe it.

Doris continued, "I'm sorry, Mr. Crosby. I noticed she was missing when I called her down for breakfast this morning. I tried calling you, but you were constantly out of service.

"The bodyguards at the entrance have searched everywhere. We even checked the surveillance videos, but we couldn't find Ms. Stone. We only found a note that she left."

Curtis hastily got into the car while asking, "What did the note say?"

Doris replied, "It says 'Take care, Curtis'."
