Chapter 289

Annoyed, Curtis slammed his fist angrily on the steering wheel. He spent the night in his car.

Upon remembering that Margot was now pregnant, he drove back home during the day. He walked to the room to check on her.

Margot was curled up on the bed. She was biting on her finger as she stared blankly at a corner.

Curtis stood by the bed and saw that she was awake.

He said, "I've called in sick for you. You don't need to go back to the university during this time. You can stay at home and rest up."

Margot ignored him. Curtis saw that she seemed alright. He then went to wash himself up.

He went down for breakfast after he was done washing up.

He instructed Doris and said, "Take care of Margot. Don't let her go out during this time."

Doris seemed confused and asked, "Not even for her classes?"

Curtis replied, "She won't be attending them."

He ate a little before getting up to leave.

Doris saw that Margot had not come down the entire morning. She then brought breakfast up for her.
