"Margot, you've known him the longest. You should understand him the best, right?" Lena pleaded.

Lena leaned against Margot and sobbed, asking, "He's not a bad guy, right? I heard you met him in college, and he even risked his life to save you.

"That year when Curtis had his incident and wasn't around, he stayed by your side the whole time and treated Lilac as his own. He did so much for you; there's no way he would harm your family.

"Margot, can you please do him some justice?"

After seeing Lena cry so hard, Margot felt an indescribable sadness in her heart.

She held onto her and reassuringly said, "Alright, we will make sure that Royce gets the justice he deserves."

"I'm feeling very sorrowful now. I want to go home."

Lena pulled away from Margot's embrace and tried hard to hold back her emotions. She wiped the tears from her cheeks with her hand and stood up to leave.

"I'll give you a ride."

Margot stood up and left.

Curtis didn't feel comfortable letting the two women go
