The flight landed at Milan Airport. It was 7 AM there since Los Angeles is 9 hours behind Milan. Eden and Bennett, jet-lagged from the travel, took a cab and headed straight to the hotel. When they reached, the receptionist checked them in and they were escorted by a bellboy to the room. As Eden and Bennett walked into the suite, they saw a huge hall with a big TV and a comfortable couch and a steel bucket with ice and champagne. It was just what Eden expected a five-star hotel in Milan to look like. It was beautiful and elegant. To their disappointment, they found that there was only one bedroom. Eden thought that it was foolish to think that Bennett’s mother would make a reservation for a suite with two rooms. “I’ll move to another room,” said Bennett, as he walked towards the door.Eden stopped him and said, “No, you should stay here, I’ll get a room for the night, it's just for tonight, I will leave tomorrow anyway.”“No, I’ll go. Please, I insist,” said Bennett firmly, and Eden
Bennett’s Point of View;Bennett closed the door behind him as he walked away from the suite with his luggage. He was tired of the travels and wanted to sleep for a couple of hours. The room he booked was on the same floor as Eden’s suite, so he didn’t have to walk much. The room was not as big enough or luxurious as the suite, but it was still in a five-star hotel and matched all its expectations. Bennett did not care about which room he was in, he had stayed in far better suits in far better hotels before. He knew that Eden needed a better experience on this trip than he did. She had never traveled much because of her father’s restrictions. He knew this from when Eden had kidnapped him. The next day, he looked into Eden’s background and everything that there was to know about her and her motive for kidnapping him. Rich and spoiled as she may have been, she had a rough childhood and a terrible father. He knew about her mother, he even knew where Martha Brown was currently living. He
Eden’s Point of View:Eden walked to Bennett’s room, her feet stomping with anger on the wooden floor. She had not even worn any slippers before walking out. All she wanted to know was what the hell did Bennett want from her. Why would he toy with her feelings for no reason? If this was his way of punishing her for kidnapping him, she did not want to keep up with the ruse anymore. Eden reached Bennett’s door and paused for a moment, to get her thoughts in line. She looked ahead at the door intently and started thumping her fist on it. Bennett opened the door and stood there shirtless, but Eden did not care about it, she was mad at him and she wanted answers. She walked in, past Bennett, and stood there waiting for him to close the door.“What the hell do you want from me? I realized my mistake and I apologized. Are you doing this as some sort of punishment?” asked Eden, anger filling up her bones.Bennett walked over to the bed, picked up his shirt, and put it on, but let it remain
Bennett was in no mood to resist whatever Eden was doing to him. He knew that she wanted to be in control, just like she has always tried to be. She ran her hands all over his chiseled chest and abs while looking intently into his eyes. She bent down and kissed his lips again, and he returned the favor gladly. But Eden pulled her lips from his again and started tracing them from his cheek, down to his neck. Bennett closed his eyes, giving himself to her touch and kisses. Eden felt accomplishment when she finally heard him make a small but raspy moaning sound when she started sucking and biting on the sensitive spot of his neck. Bennett’s hands were on Eden’s waist, but with the way Eden was making him feel, an image of her naked body on the bed came back into his mind and he wanted to feel her skin on his hands. He held her thighs, slowly massaging them as they traveled upwards, toward her ass. He lifted up her short robe, exposing her bare skin for his hands to roam around. He held
For the first time, Eden did not think that Bennett was doing this to punish her. He looked genuinely distressed about something and she knew it was related to the reason why he had stopped himself from taking things too far with her. She realized that he was offering her an explanation, which is exactly why she had come to him in the first place. Eden decided to set aside her pride. She did feel humiliated that Bennett was the one who had initiated the whole thing, once before in the car and now in the hotel room and that he was the one who had stopped it too. She knew it was not the right time to get angry over it, she had to hear why Bennett was so conflicted over being with her.“Okay, I’ll try to understand,” said Eden, softly.Bennett took a sigh. “You know that we had an agreement about having a divorce in 4-5 years. We are to go our separate ways, live our own lives, and get to choose what we want in life. Neither of us wanted to get married to each other in the first place.
Eden smiled as she walked back to her room. Of course, her disappointment was immeasurable when Bennett stopped what they were about to do, but she felt happy for finally coming to an understanding with Bennett. She felt less angry about the whole situation because she finally knew what he felt for her. It felt like a sense of accomplishment that she had won on sweeping him off his feet, but it felt different this time because Bennett too had her hooked. She thought that maybe, just maybe, if things work out between them, they might not go through a divorce after all, but she was still not certain if he was the man she wanted to spend her life with. She thought about what Bennett has asked her. Do you think you can ever love me? Eden did not know if what she felt for her was mere physical infatuation or genuine feelings of likeness towards him. Maybe if she got to know him, she might not be able to love him after all, at least not enough to stay married to him.Eden knew that it would
Eden took another bite of her dessert, a Tiramisu, and almost spewed it all out because she started laughing. She said in between laughs, “And then, you know, Sophia didn’t talk to me for a week.”“No I could tell she was the only sane one between all of you,” chuckled Bennett. “I bet she didn’t want to be a part of it in the first place.”“YES. She was so against the whole thing, but she came through anyway. So, not so wise after all.”“You’re the one to talk about being wise, you failed at a kidnapping so bad. It was the worst abduction in the history of badly planned abductions,” said Bennett and laughed as he took another sip of his wine.Eden and Bennett had been sitting in the cafe for about 2 hours, just drinking and talking. Eden felt like he was an easy conversationalist, she had never noticed this personality trait of his because she has always either been blinded with hatred or a mad desire for him. She never tried to truly look into what kind of person Bennett really was.
Bennett’s Point of View:Neither Bennett nor Eden had planned the evening to be romantic, they had only hoped to get to know each other better, and find a place in their conscious to feel comfortable around each other. If they had to spend 5 years together, they needed to be on good terms, and not constantly in disagreement with each other. But on the tower, as Eden looked down at the city, with her eyes sparkling with astonishment, Bennett felt like he wanted to hold on to the feeling of seeing Eden happy. He wanted to be the reason for her happiness, but he knew that Eden did not feel the same. She was too young to decide what she wanted for herself, and she had still to find out who she really was or who she wanted to be. Bennett did not want to get in the way of her self-improvement. He thought this because of how well their date had gone. He knew it would take a little mor
