The calling bell was heard but nobody was at the door. Celeste looked to her left and right if she could see anyone leaving and then she saw something making a sound under her leg.
It was a white manila envelope with her name pasted on it in superfine cursive handwriting.
Celeste opened it and read the letter. The next moment her heart’s beating sound was heard in her ears. “Kyle, you are taking me to Anthony's mafia head office.” She talked to him on the phone.
“Ma'am, sir told you not to go out of the house. Please listen to me. It's for your own good.” Even after long minutes of talking she could not convince Kyle to take her to Anthony's office.
