Aria's perspectiveSharp tingles spread through my lips, traveling through my whole body as if it was on fire. The tingles didn’t stop as his lips were against mine.It was slow, and passionate, and wasn’t forcing it as if he was asking for my permission and when I kissed him back, he devoured my mouth his kiss turning hot and taking my whole mouth in his. My breast rubbed against his hard chest, and it made me heat up even more.My breath was coming in pants and I could hear my heart pounding in my head. He tore his lips away from mine while staring intently into my eyes. “You don’t know how hard that was to stop.” He muttered under his breath loud enough so I could hear. His fingers caressed my cheeks and kept my both hands above my head.“Is this why you wanted us to share the same bedroom?” I asked. His lips quirked amusingly. And it made my stomach tighten in response. His eyes drifted from my face down to my breast, “Maybe.” He uttered. His voice is deep and husky.“I will give y
Aria's perspectiveI woke to the feeling of a gentle hand thatcaresses my cheeks, my eyes opened slowly, and I saw the white ceilings, when I turned to the side, I saw Neon’s worried eyes and the white walls around the bed.I was about to lift my hand when I noticed the IV on my wrist.A weak smile crept onto Neon’s face. “You are awake.” He was seated on the edge of the bed, he drew nearer to me.I hummed and tried to lift myself from the bed. He stopped me and pressed a button on the bed and it raised into a sitting position.“I’m in a hospital?” I spoke after I found my voice. Last night I remembered I was in his bed, and now I’m in a hospital.“You passed out last night, you were a bit dehydrated and I need to have your ribs checked, you will go for a scan here at the hospital. I have made a private arrangement for you.” His hand tucked my hair neatly behind my ears.I glanced at the room. There was a two seater chair, a small table and a TV set. We were the only ones in there.“I
Neon's perspectiveI left Aria in the hospital room when she was sleeping, and met with the pack doctor at his office. He didn’t want to speak to me because Aria was there. He didn’t want her to hear our conversations.“Here is the result of the scan, she fractured a rib, but it would heal in time. She’s not a werewolf so it would make more time than usual, make sure she takes her medication.” The pack doctor said as he sat on his desk. I stared at the results for a moment and then squeezed them into my pocket.“She’s not in any critical condition is she?” I asked quietly.“No, Alpha.”“Is that all?” I asked, creasing my brows at him.“Yes. And I received a message from your Beta, he said he’s been trying to reach you and he couldn’t. He has something to say to you and it’s urgent.” He explained taking his phone from the table and showing me the text he received from Silas.“Let me know when Aria wakes up.” I squinted my eyes at him. I would meet up with Silas and know what was wrong.
Aria's perspective“Hey, you are awake.” I heard the resounding metallic voice but it wasn’t the voice of Neon. When I opened my eyes expecting to see Neon, it was someone else. I squeezed my eyes shut when I realized where I was and the reason I was here.“Aria, are you okay?” His voice came again. It was Silas.Where is Neon? And why is Silas here and not him?“Where is Neon?” I asked tilting my head to the side, and asked. He was standing beside the bed with his hands on both sides of the bed.He withdrew his hands and stood erect.“He is in a meeting, he couldn’t make it else he would have been here. He asked me to take you home when you wake up.” He replied and shoved his hands into his pocket. His looks were skeptical but he said nothing.“I will get the car ready, I brought you some clothes you should change into. I will be back.” He broke the few minutes of silence and went out of the room.My eyes fell on the duffel bag on the chair. I sat on the bed and picked it up. There wa
Neon's perspective“Alpha, we heard that you have canceled the ceremony.” Chief Elder, Montana, a round short man said. A few of them sat across the chairs in the office.“We would deliver your message to the others in the pack when you give us the reason why you chose to cancel the ceremony.” He cleared his throat and folded his arms defensively across his chest.I sighed and sat up, I should have known this was the reason they wanted a meeting with me.“Everyone has been waiting for the mating ceremony, and Diana would officially become our Luna since you haven’t found your mate. This was how we planned it.” He added to his words, and the others nodded in agreement with what he said.“Why did you cancel the ceremony Alpha?” He asked.“What if I found my mate and she found out I have already chosen a Luna.”“Diana is a perfect Luna for our pack, I don’t think anyone could come close to her and she’s been with us for a long time. Alpha, it’s been more than a decade, and you never foun
Aria's perspective“You spend the night with Neon?” Diana asked as we stepped into the house.“He said I would be staying with him, he’s going to have my room reconstructed,” I answered, her facial expression was plain, I couldn’t tell what Diana was thinking.“It’s better that you, he could keep an eye on you.” She said with a small smile, while we took the stairs.“I’m still going to try and do the best I can for you. Aria but if you choose to trust Neon, I can’t do anything about that.”She let go of my arms and touched my face. “You’re pretty, Aria. Neon is going to keep you locked here forever, he’s cold, dark, and a violent person. Is that the kind of man you want to spend the rest of your life with?”“Why do you want me to leave Neon?”“I’m looking out for you.” She snapped.“I thought that’s what you want, you want to leave here don’t you?”“You think Neon is going to let me go?” I huffed, she knew that I wouldn’t be able to escape this place. Neon told me that he was the one i
Diana’s perspectiveI was pacing at the lounge in the pack house, I wanted to have a word with Mr. Montana. I wanted to know how the meeting went, Silas wouldn’t say a word about the meeting, he wouldn’t even talk to me.“That asshole,” I mumbled and folded my hands crossed my chest.I haven’t seen Neon since he came back from the meeting, I would have asked him. The Chief Elder is the only one I could ask about the meeting they had with Neon.“There you are.” I heard a voice clearing his throat behind me.I spun around and dropped my hands to my side, a sigh of relief washed over my face as I saw Mr. Montana standing there with his hands on his back.“Did I keep you waiting Luna?”I forced a smile on my lips. “No.”“Have a seat.” I gestured towards the few chairs on the lounge, he nodded and took his seat gently on the chair.I sat on the chair close to him.“Did you have a word with the Alpha? I am a bit surprised that you wanted a meeting with me.”I haven’t seen Neon since he got b
Aria’s perspective“We have somewhere to be today,” Neon’s warm breath fluttered the strands of hair on my forehead when he spoke.I was still on the bed but he was already dressed, I didn’t know when he left the bed.Hold on.He said we.“Where are we going?” I asked, looking up at him through my lashes.“To see someone special to me.” He smiled at me, my cheeks were probably a bright shade of red now.“And before I forget...” He stood up from the bed and walked up to his desk, opened the drawers, and brought out an envelope. He opened it, and strolled over to the bed, taking the spot next to me.“I paid off your debts, I met the lady at your house, and we settled it off. I brought this to show you that it has been paid. I’m bringing you stuff to the mansion, and you remember our deal. You are staying with me.” He chuckled, his thin lips quirked up into a handsome smile, and his eyes were staring into me with utter adoration, and I couldn’t help but feel flattered.I broke the eye con
