I pinch the bridge of my nose and let out a sigh. We have been in this meeting for hours, and it is going nowhere. A few of our partners in New York flew down two days ago. They called us about a week ago and said that there was something important that they needed to talk to us about. Alek had Ben check our schedules and let them know that we had time later this week to talk with them. I look over and see that Brent is just as irritated as we are. He has not been in a good mood all week. He and Kylynn are having major issues. I am not sure what is going on. Plus, we all received a letter yesterday that let us know that the gala that was supposed to happen a couple of months ago will be happening in two weeks.

“We are not moving to the New York office,” Lane tells them.

“We really need you four up there. There are a lot of issues, and we have been losing staff left and right. That small chain of clubs you bought is causing a lot of issues. The books are in disarray, and

I swear this little boy inside of me is going to rupture my bladder. It seems like I need to pee every five minutes. I won’t even mention the heartburn. At least the morning sickness stopped. That shit was horrible! Kaden and I are just leaving my latest appointment. Aunt Lisa says that everything is going well. I am six months along and getting larger by the day. My hormones are completely out of control. I started crying at work yesterday for no reason. I am pretty sure Cole thinks I have lost my mind. Sometimes I think I have lost my mind. I have been getting tired faster lately, but Aunt Lisa said that is normal. Kaden has taken my bi-polarism or it feels like I am bipolar, in stride. He has been so patient with me. I have been more aggressive with Tianya and Kylynn lately, but they just give me shit back. They know that it is the pregnancy hormones making me like this. “It think they do it on purpose just to get a rise out of me.” I state. “Knowing those two, I

I was still pissed when I pulled up to the construction site. I was surprised to see my grandmother and my aunt there. While I hate that my mother's family and we are not close, there is also a damn good reason for that. It is mainly their fault. I was not surprised when my grandmother tried to oppose my and Everly’s engagement. When she started spewing all that shit about Everly, that is when she crossed the line. They will never know where we live; if they find out, they are not allowed into our house. Dad was getting seriously pissed, and I am sure he will be meeting with a couple of his law enforcement buddies after his golf match. I was concerned that they might try and follow mom and Everly where ever they were going, but mom assured me that she would not let them talk to Everly that way. Mom was on the verge of beating my aunts ass. Mom may look all prim and proper, but don’t let that fool you. Mom can beat some ass. She grew up in an upper-middle-class family, but s

Everly had finally chosen a day to meet with her father and brothers. Like he said he would, Ian called me the following day to see if anything had been decided on. I let him know that Everly was still deciding and that I would let him know when she did. I also told him that they were more than welcome to meet here so everyone would be comfortable. He told me that he had told his father and Logan how he had run into Everly while he was out. He told me he hadn’t seen his father that excited in years. I am sure that Aaron has missed his daughter terribly. I can’t even imagine a child of mine just vanishing even if Everly had a more than adequate reason to leave. Then again, she didn’t leave willing she was kicked out, so I am sure Aaron feels guilty about that. I plan on telling him that none of it is his fault. Regina is a manipulative bitch and had them all believing her bullshit. That was the other thing that worried me. She and Frank had all but vanished. There had been

I let out a sigh for probably the hundredth time this morning. I had to come into the office today, and Kaden was not happy about it. I didn’t want to come in today, but Cole called me last night and told me that the partners we were meeting with wanted an in-person meeting with all three of us. Not sure if that is a good idea. Kylynn hasn’t been in a good mood these last two weeks. She and Brent are still having issues. Somehow she has managed to get out of going to his parent's house for dinner the two times she has been invited. I did laugh at them the other day. No matter how much distance she tries to put between them, Brent won’t let it happen. He still puts his arm around her, and flirts none stop. I stand up, grab my coffee and walk towards the door. I smile when I see Vienna walking in with her arms full of coffee. “Trying to keep the peace I see.” I comment. “Damn right. They hate having meetings this early in the morning, and we both know that two of these gu

“So I am guessing the meeting went well.” I say. “Yeah, they want to add healthy energy-boosting snacks to the Olympus line. We explained to them the diet we follow, and they told us to make some of the snacks we make and bring them to our next meeting. They are here for the next two weeks. This reminds me; they want all of us to get together and have dinner.” Everly comments. “Sounds good to me. Talk with Brent or Alek. They either have or know of a restaurant that would be able to hold our large group. I am guessing they want all the others to attend this dinner as well.” I state. “Yes, also one of the guys, Cristiano, has a younger sister that will be working for us. She just finished her associate's degree in business and wants to start working. She will be going back for her masters degree. She needs a place to stay and I know there is a vacant apartment. Do you think she can have it?” Everly adds. “I don’t see why not. I am sure this Cristiano will be happy to

I let the guys know I was leaving for my meeting with Sean. Everly and the others should be arriving at Marysa’s office to speak with her about their dress designs. I knew Marysa had her work cut out for her designing for Tianya and Kylynn, but I also knew she was up for the challenge. I checked my phone when I heard it go off, letting me know I got a text.(You asshole! Thanks for referring your fiance to me so I can help design her dress for the gala. I appreciate the referral of her friends as well. You, sir, are a grade-A dick. You could have told me who her friends were. I am pretty sure I made a total ass of myself in front of them.-Marysa)(Thank you for helping my fiance out. I feel as if you’re being slightly dramatic. I do apologize for not telling you who she was fri

Of course, I knew where Kaden was going this afternoon. None of us had any idea what they wanted to talk with them about. I had been talking with Zack more often, and I had come to realize that somewhere within this office or on one of us, there was a hidden microphone. I had told Zack about my suspicions, and he told me to let it go for now. I know that we were all suspicious about the fact that Regina and Frank had not given us any more information, and it had been that way for a few weeks now. I was in Alek’s office along with Brent when Kaden called and told them to come over after they got off. I am not sure why he didn’t include me, but then I remembered I was supposed to be going over to Kelsy and Leena’s to talk with them about going with Brent and me to the gala. However, Leena had called me earlier to let me know Kelsy had gotten stuck at work and would not be home till late tonight. So I told Alek I was tagging along with them. Not as if they didn’t expect me to com

I don’t know who this person is, but he or she is pissing me off. Thankfully it is Friday, and I can be home for the next two days. I talked with Doug the day after our meeting and asked about a guard for Everly. He thought that was a good idea. He told me that he had the perfect guy and would call me back after talking with him. I am guessing that if this is one of his friends or a guy who works for him, he knows Everly and will agree without hesitation. The guy that Doug sent started yesterday. His name is Giovanni, or Gio for short. He and Everly seem to get along ok so far. I was concerned, considering he is only 25, but Doug told me that there is no one he trusts more than Gio. Doug explained that Gio was a genius skipping several grades. He came to my office two days ago, and I made sure that all four of us, plus dad, were present when I talked with him. If he was put off or surprised that there were so many presents when he showed up, he didn’t show it. I was more t

One Year Later I had no idea that a toddler could move that fast. I am chasing Colton around the backyard. This little guy is quick. He is a year and a half now and growing like a weed. Everly and I got married six months ago, and everything has been great. Leaving him when we went on our honeymoon was hard, but I know he had a blast with his grandparents. He was thrilled when he got a set of golf clubs for Christmas. Dad and Aaron took him golfing when we were on our honeymoon; now, Colton is obsessed with it. He will actually sit there for hours and watch tournaments on tv. I will probably get him some golf lessons in a couple of years. He also loves hockey. That is thanks to Drew. Justin and Tristian. Those three are hockey fanatics and have taken Colton to several games. I laugh when I see Tianya and Kylynn walking over to where we are. They were suspossed to have started their next tour five months ago, but things happened. They had some issues with the recordings

Six months later “Are you laughing at me?” Kaden asks. “Yes, I am. I am sorry but it was funny.” I tell him. Kaden is a wonderful father to Colton. Colton loves being with his father. I am glad they have such a fantastic relationship, even if Colton is only six months. I can’t help but laugh at the two of them. Kaden was changing Colton’s diaper, and Colton just peed on his father. I was told stories about incidents like this happening, and luckily this is the first time that this has happened to Kaden. I walk over and take Colton from Kaden so he can get cleaned up. I laugh some more when Kaden pouts as he walks to our room. I am in love with our house. When Kaden showed me Colton’s nursery, I cried. I couldn’t believe he had done that for me. The nursery was set up perfectly, and I didn’t change a thing about it. I was surprised to see the glider there, but I love that. That is where I sit when I feed Colton. I love this little man so much. I am surprised that he

I let out a groan as I opened my eyes. The room was dimly lit, which I was thankful for. I looked at the wall, and it was plain white. I knew it wasn’t the room that I was being held in, but I had no idea where this room was. I could smell disinfectant and hear several different beeping sounds. I looked around and realized I was in the hospital. I immediately tried to get up but almost screamed as pain ripped through my stomach. I placed a hand on my stomach to find it soft and flat. I started to freak out when I didn’t feel my hard baby belly anymore. “Calm down, little sprite. Everything is fine.” Kaden says. I look to where his voice came from to see him standing there. His hand is on my arm, making me stay in bed. I look at him, and I can feel the tears in my eyes. I remember hearing several voices, and then the pain started. Shit, I went into labor at that damn house. I also remember seeing blood before I passed out. “Did I lose…” I start to say. “Hush, our litt

I was beyond pissed off. Not only had these assholes been playing games with us for almost a year now they had officially crossed the line. They had kidnapped Everly. I knew the moment Gio walked in that something was wrong. When he said that Everly had gone to meet me at the house after she had received a text from me, I knew they had her. I called Sean immediately and told him what had happened and that Everly had been taken. I could hear him growl on the other end of the line. He told us to meet at the house since she was taken from that place. There were several cars there when we pulled up. “Shit when did they get back?” Gio asked. Standing there arguing with Doug was none other than Tianya and Kylynn. They weren’t due back until tomorrow. I watch as everyone walks into the house. The five of us hurried inside, and I was surprised to see Dad there. He held up Everly’s handbag, and a new wave of anger rushed threw me. I grabbed it and started digging through it. I f

I slowly open my eyes. I almost get them open when I close them again quickly. The light in this room is blinding. I slowly open my eyes again and try to sit up. A bolt of pain rips through my head, making me grab it. I feel a large bump, and my hand comes in contact with something dry and crusty in my hair. I gingerly scoot back until my back hits the wall. I keep my eyes closed until my head stops spinning. I open them again and look around. I am in what appears to be a bedroom. I don’t recognize anything in this room. I sit there for a while, trying to figure out where I am when things slowly start coming back to me.__FLASHBACK__I had been fed up with being at the apartment and wanted to get out of the house. I jumped into the shower. I had a sweater dres

Three weeks is all we have left until our little man arrives. Aunt Lisa told us today that he could really arrive any day. I can tell that Everly is both excited and anxious. Honestly, I am feeling the same way. I still can’t believe that the birth of my son is that close. It seemed like yesterday when Everly walked into that meeting, and then I found out she was pregnant with my son. “You looked stressed,” Lance says. “I am not stressed. I am more anxious than anything. There are only three weeks left until the baby is here. Aunt Lisa told us that he could literally arrive any day now.” I reply. “Everything will be fine. Both of you have tons of support. I will admit your cousin is a big fucking crybaby.” Lance states.

Two more months is all I have left. Thank god, I am over being pregnant. I love my son and feel him move around, but my back is killing me. My feet hurt, and I feel like an overfilled water balloon. I am getting very worried that if he grows any more that I won’t be able to have him naturally. Aunt Lisa told me at my monthly appointment that everything was looking good. From her estimates, she says that he is 7lbs, maybe even a bit over that right now. Of course, that pushed me into overthinking mode. I shudder when I realize that if he gains a pound or more a month until I give birth, he could weigh 9lbs or more. There is no way I can push that out of my body. I can feel the panic attack starting.“Ok, you need to calm down. Everything is going to be fine.” Claire says.&

I am worried about Everly. She has been acting strange this last week. I know it has nothing to do with the pregnancy, so something else is happening. She doesn’t seem any more stressed than normal. I can tell that these last three months are going to be the hardest for her. Our little man has grown considerably, and Everly has been complaining of back pain. I make sure to run her a nice hot bath every night, which she enjoys, along with her nightly foot massages. I love seeing her pregnant with my son, but I also hate seeing her in pain. I talked with Aunt Lisa earlier, but she told me that there is nothing she can really do. She told me that this is normal for being in her third trimester of pregnancy. I hate that there is nothing I can do to help her. Aunt Lisa said doing the little things that I have been a big help in keeping Everly comfortable. I am glad she has stoppe

We met with Arthur two days ago, and I am still processing what he told us. I was expecting the mystery person to be one of moms relatives, but I was not expecting it to be my grandmother and one of my aunts. Ironically the two mystery people that showed up with the lawyer are the same to that randomly showed up that day at mom and dads and made a huge scene. I am not sure what to think. I looked at mom, and she didn’t seem surprised at all. Everly and dad were on the way to the airport to pick up Gio. He finally got everything straightened out with his family. He said that his dad is doing good and should be getting out of the hospital in a couple more days. They wanted to make sure there were no other clots anywhere before they sent him home.“How are you holding up?” Brent asks.&l
