AZALEA'S POV

"Why me?." I ask him. His eyes linger on my face for a second too long before he gives me a reply.

"Because your wolf is less present." He says. I nod.

'He means weak'

"You mean weak." I hiss.

"No, flower, You are not weak, but your wolf, she's far, so the chip would be safe from her strength." He tries to explain.

It made a little sense, but I still couldn't bring myself to say yes right away.

"Is it dangerous?." I ask and he lets out a laugh.

"Danger is inevitable, this is war."

"Still….." I would not be doing anything that would further endanger myself, Lexa and Justin needed me.

"It has, risks. And I know, your siblings come first, but this can change the entire course of the war."

"I'm sorry, I -."

I didn't know who or what to trust at the moment even if I wanted to end Black Lotus. I knew so little about this device that would be implanted in my body, I knew even more little about the man who was suggesting it to me.
