It didn’t surprise me when Gabriela came knocking on my office door. Hunter and Cole had felt the change in our little sister and the growing restlessness that was pulling at her. Gabriela was a lot like Charlotte, she was always in the background, always helping but never really getting a chance to be herself.

I had thought of denying her permission to leave, knowing that even though the war with the S.D.E. had come to an end, we could feel that they were still a threat as they still had Romeo and we never found the human male or whoever it was behind it.

However, I also knew that I couldn’t keep her locked up within the castle, everyone else had their assignments, things they did and a sense of belonging so I couldn’t really deny her the opportunity of finding that for herself.
