I look at Seraphina as she looks out over the lake and seems to sigh. I follow her gaze to the beautiful sight before us, before looking back at her. A soft smile caresses her lips, she doesn’t look at me as she then says,

“The view at this lake is just beautiful…”

A light blush forms on her cheeks when she continues,

“Me and my mate love coming to this lake. I even believe that a couple of our Vampups were conceived either here on the grass or in the lake itself…”

Her aura then seems to change, it's still calming but there is a little more to it. She sighs and says without looking at me,

“May I ask what had you so scared?”

I take a deep steadying breath and force my now aching body to move so that I am now properly sitting next to her. Hearing that same purr and then feeling that same movement under my skin, fear swamps me again as the realisation that my first shift is coming and then I will go into heat.
