Charles then watched as Aya and one of the other new faces entered Aya’s office a little while later. Though he didn’t know what they discussed or did with how long they were in there, he smiled to himself when he saw the new male leave Aya’s office with the mysterious female unconscious in his arms, believing that whatever they did they did it well.Charles had seen the controlled lust in a few of the visiting warrior's eyes, however fleeting it may have been as they patrolled the tunnels and the Pride’s territory. I sigh as I lean my forehead on Kyria’s hand which is in mine. Prince Victor assured me when he had finally come out of surgery with her that she would be fine. The accident had broken her spine and her ribs, unfortunately, part of her broken ribs had done more damage than first thought.He informed me that not only had a bit of rib cut deep into her lung but a small shard had snapped off and found its way into her heart, so every time her heart beat that small sliver of bone was cutting and scratching doing more damage.Kyria was strong though and after hours in surgery and though she hadn’t woken yet, she was now sharing a private room with Dad slowly recovering.With permission to use the private bathroom and having meals provided, I haven’t ventured anywhere from this private room wanting to be close to my family just in case Kyria woke and they required anything.I lift my head from her hand when I hear movement, a sigh and then a chuckle from the only other bed in the room.“Izz

I look at Seraphina as she looks out over the lake and seems to sigh. I follow her gaze to the beautiful sight before us, before looking back at her. A soft smile caresses her lips, she doesn’t look at me as she then says,“The view at this lake is just beautiful…”A light blush forms on her cheeks when she continues,“Me and my mate love coming to this lake. I even believe that a couple of our Vampups were conceived either here on the grass or in the lake itself…”Her aura then seems to change, it's still calming but there is a little more to it. We were almost back to the castle when a wave of intense rage flowed through me making me freeze and take a sharp breath in. I then hear two soft voices in my head whimper.“Mate…” Without thinking and not knowing how I did it or that I could I close my eyes and take a deep breath. I feel Clara stretch through my body while the mysterious Matilda seems to shift in my mind, calming the rage flooding me, following the path of that rage back to the source.As soon as my mind touches the source, the scent of Oakmoss, Patchouli and Vanilla surrounds me, I take the safety and the calmness that it provides into my heart, embrace it and then with Matilda’s help I send it with my touch.A small smile pulls at my lips as I feel the rage back off and his mind becomes clearer. I’m not sure which one it was or even if I heard him as his scent slightly increases around me and he whispers.“My Love!…” The connection is soon gone but the feeling of him inside me stays and makes me feel less scared,

Still a little confused about what is going on my body seems to know that we have been dismissed and I make my way into Kyria’s room. I notice that Dad is still lying on the other hospital bed and though he seems to be deep in thought and watching Kyria however he isn’t, he is actually asleep a trick he picked up being the Alpha of our Pride.Taking an exhausted breath I walk over to his side and grab the blanket sitting folded at the end of the bed. As I unfold and cover him with the spare blanket I lean down placing a soft kiss on his forehead before I turn and place a kiss on Kyria’s forehead.
