As the last of the spell leaves my lips I feel the darkness surround me, I don’t let it scare me as I see a small light in the distance. I walk slowly in that direction, my eyes go wide as I slowly walk into that small light and look around to take in the scene of the war.
I see myself walking through the damage, it doesn’t take long before I seem to catch up to her and step into her shoes. I do as I did during the war, I fought, both physically and with my magick. I smile when I feel my protection spell alert me to danger behind me. I turn and freeze, tears sting my eyes as I finally see him…

Knowing that this is just a dream of the past and not the real thing, so nothing will change, I don’t follow what happened that day as I step up to him and slide my hand on his cheek, I whisper,

ELIZABETH Kyria found me at the bottom of the stairs, she had wanted to go to our father but I knew that it wouldn’t make a difference as Nala was the next Mane and she would have been twisted anything I said so that I was punished for her beating me.It took nearly a week for my broken ribs and the bruises she caused to fade and completely heal. I never worked out why she was down in the basement, or if she had gone down into the dungeons connected to the basement.I am surprised that she has left me alone while I healed, it should have put me on alert as normally she wouldn’t let me fully heal enjoying adding to them. The week before trading day was normally the worst only stopping two days before so that the bruises could be covered easily.I shiver at the thought. I have always hated and feared trading day as it is just that.
