94 — parler de la lune

Finally, after a pleasant dinner without our husbands, we decided to split up in the large pack house in the city. The women went one way, and the men went the other.

Now, we were in Luna's room, a new concept for me. She had set aside the space for herself, forbidding anyone else from entering and making it her personal place where she welcomes friends, family, and anything she truly cares about.

I found the dynamic brilliant. She also seemed so radiant with her husband. All of us did... except Jean and Mavie.

“So, how's newlywed life?” Leonor asked.

“Well, actually,” I faced her, my cheeks burning a bit. “I've been with Jaden for a few years now. We have kids. We live together. We just decided to make it official.”

“I must say the wedding was sensational,” Anais's eyes sparkled, and she laughed.

“I’m really glad all my guests enjoyed it. It went by in a blur for me, and then we were already on a plane coming here. It was all a wonderful surprise from my husband.”
