Tanner’s POV

I don’t know that the hotheaded pretty boy detective could be this caring. He was sincere in his words. I saw honesty and pains in his eyes.

“What do you want to know?” I asked him.

Instead, he advised me not be hasty in my decision. He must have gone through the same frustrations I have been going through all these years.

Emma’s POV

Initially I thought I was using his weakness against him. But I discovered that those words were my true feelings.

I found out that the saying that: “ misery needs company,” is true. I saw the bewildered look on Vin’s face.
