Chapter 2: Her Bestfriend

I thought it was him. We plan, that next year it will be our wedding, but what happened! He betrays me, they betrayed me.

Three years! Damn you, Andrei! Three years, you just ruined it. You're just fooling me. How could you do this to me, Andrei?! All our plans will come to nothing.

I was still sobbing while driving home. I wish I hadn't met him tonight if that's all he would say. I was not prepared for such issues. This is new to me. And it hurts so much.

when I got home I immediately went to my room and locked myself there. I was still crying. Maybe there is no end to the pain I feel.

I immediately rummaged in the cabinet for the things Andrei had given me. Clothes, scarf, jewelry, shoes, everything. Even those albums that were together for three years. I also did not miss even small things, as long as they came from him. I cleared it all and put it in the big trash bag.

I left the room and went straight to the yard. I put the trash bag in the big drum, then burned it.

My tears could not stop flowing. But I hardly rubbed you.

I was about to go back to my room when I could notice something in my finger. I looked there and I bitterly shake my head.

There’s no use keeping this damn ring! This thing should be discarded!

before I could think twice I threw the ring in the burning trash can. Then I went back inside the house to lock myself in my room. My housemaid, Martha who become like a mother to me was still wondering how I looked. I just walk through because I wasn't ready to say what I was going through.

"Good morning, Ma'am," the woman in the salon smiled at me.

Instead of sulking in the room, I thought about doing things that I would have fun and forget.

“Uhm, Miss, I need a total makeover. The one that will show up my real beauty," I said, while he was amazed. "Miss, are you with me?"

“H-huh? sure, ma’am. Here, sit down first. ” He handed me something.

I accepted that and took a look at the different types of hairstyles that are popular today. Everything was beautiful so I didn't immediately decide what would suit me. Maybe I'll just ask for a suggestion.

“Feel at home, Ma’am, and wait for a while. Thank you,” said the woman.

So as not to get bored, I just picked up a magazine and read. I chose Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt as the cover. They were my favorite celebrity couple in Hollywood. And there the image of Andrei entered my mind again.

Damn! I hope you disappear forever from my mind and system.

Soon the woman called me. I immediately stood up and move. He then endorsed me to a gay man who she said was the best. The name is "Lulu". Lulu was really funny. He was talkative so I enjoyed his company.

"I have some suggestions for you, Madame, and I think you're gonna love it," he said with a smile when I said I had no choice yet.

“All right, you take care of my hairstyle. If I like that, eh, I will give you an extra bonus,” I said with a raised eyebrow but still smiling.

“I am ninety-nine point nine percent sure of that, Madame. You won’t regret it.”

Lulu immediately started cutting my long and shapeless hair. He also suggested the Brazilian rebond and dye. I said yes. I will do everything for my change and renewal.

I waited the whole day to see the makeover on me. Of course, it’s exciting to think that now I’ve finally experienced being confident in myself. Since then I have been content with my natural old hairstyle.

“Shaaaraaan! Look there, Madame, aren’t you even more beautiful?” He is not lying. “Did I mention, at first, I guessed I could make you more beautiful? You’re just hiding your real beauty, Madame. You waste a few years of hiding it. Now you look more irresistible, sophisticated. I won’t be surprised if your admirer floods in.”

I smiled wryly. "Really?" If you only knew how I feel right now and why I’m here.

"I am so very much pretty sure," he added as if he was more satisfied with the outcome.

"Oh, really?" I smirked at him.

“Oh, yes. If someone says it's not okay and it's not a good makeover of yours. Well, I'll take care of it." he said with a smile and raised eyebrows.

I laughed. "Anyway, thanks for this makeover."

“No problem, madame. I’m just doing my job to serve you better and make you satisfied. And It’s really my job to make people like you feel confident and beautiful. ”

He really serves me well, and I'm happy with the outcome of his work so I'll check it out correctly. so he was happy with the reward I gave him.

Then I went to the spa for body scrubs, massages, facial treatments, and more. I was satisfied even though I was still depressed.

I firmly held back the threatening tears in my eyes. they were not worthy of my tears.

I will show you that you wrongly deceived me and traded me.

Then I thought about shopping. When I was about to park the car I did not notice there was a car moving behind the parking area. I didn't notice the car signal light, so it was too late to get away. I just closed my eyes when our cars clash.

Tsk! I'm Dead. This is a problem.

I surprise when there was a knock on my car. I heard some slamming outside and still swearing. But when I raised my head I was suddenly stunned.

Oh, God! He's like a goddess! But it's so disappointing because it doesn't suit him to swear.

I lowered my car window and looked straight at him. He stopped swearing.

“I-I’m sorry, Mister… I-I just didn’t notice your signal light. I’m very sorry,” I said softly, not knowing why I was stunned by him. Was it because I was nervous, or because I was fascinated by his appearance?

He was serious and calm down. “Next time, woman, watch your way while driving. You have to always focus so that there is no accident,” he told me with a frown.

I was swallowed. “O-okay. U-uhm… How much is the damage, Mister? I'll just pay.”

“No, thanks. Just be vigilant next time.” Then he turned around and walked out.

Oh, he was stuck, but he would still be handsome. But, hmp! Whatever.

I continued driving and parked my car. Upon entering the mall, I went straight to the boutique and bought clothes that would match my new look. I also bought makeup. Like Lulu's suggestion. And I follow his tips to me about cosmetology. He even taught me how to use and apply makeup and what would suit me.

Let's just see now, Andrei. Let me show that you are nothing!

I was about to enter a restaurant when I didn't expect to see someone— another shameless traitor to me. At first glance, she was kind. But the truth is, she's not.

I raised my eyebrow and walked with my head up— I walked over to the vacant table quite a distance from her table.

out of the corner of my eyes, I saw her just staring at me. I knew she was wondering and confused at my transformation.

You thought maybe, I’m going to resent losing Andrei to me? Huh, never! I’ll show you that I’m not affected at all.

I immediately ordered my food when the waiter approached me. After he got my order he immediately smiled and left. I took my phone out of the bag and looked at who was calling. I clicked immediately the End button because I got fifteen missed calls and twenty messages that just came from that Andrei.

when he called again I completely turned off my phone because what he was doing was really annoying. What did he think of me? Stay still despite what happened? That's bullshit.

“B-best”

I looked up. Then I just looked at her and no words came out of my mouth.

"Charm." The traitor is still teary-eyed! Look like the best actress. "Best, I'm s-sorry."

I sigh. "Best?" I smiled sarcastically and just shook my head. “Tsk! No sweet endearment to a traitor like you! ” I suppressed my emotions. but the pain still hasn't gone away because of how long we've been friends and how much we've been together.

"I know, what happened to A-Andre and me was wrong—"

“Can you please stop it? I don’t want to hear that again,” I muttered.

“B-believe me. We didn’t mean that to happen,” he continued in a low voice, still bowing.

“And the two of you want me to believe in your drama?! Huh? Oh, come on, Kathy, we're already separated. You should have to enjoy it by now. I know you've always wanted him.  And you just found the timing to break the two of us. Oh then, what now, are you happy with it? ” full of hatred that I rebuke.

Her lips parted at what I said. I've always noticed that, but I just ignored it because I trust him, the two of them and Andrei. but it is wrong to trust too much. Especially since you can't control what they're thinking.

“I’m really sorry, best. I know it's wrong, but we were both taken because we were drunk.”

“Whether you’re drunk or not, you should still remember how much I feel! But no, you're even made happier! Bullshit! Both of you betrayed me, and drunkenness is not an excused.”

Kathy was already crying. Some people around us are also looking at us. Fortunately, there are only a few in the restaurant.

“Charm… Please f-forgive me. I'm really sorry. I did not mean it. I was just carried away.”

“God, Kathy! will you please shut up? I really don’t want to hear that. I can't forgive you. I treated you as my own family, like my sibling. But what did you do? You just ruined everything! And because of what you did, I can't easily forgive you. I was hurt so much.” I couldn’t help it, my tears fell. “You ruined us. You just ruined our friendship. It would have been okay if Andrei will cheating on me, I would have taken that to myself. But hopefully, you're not the reason why I'm hurting more." I silently sobbed.

“I hope you’ll still forgive me, b-best. I’m really sorry.” I just felt him stand up in a hurry.

I know he was hurt by what I said. But the pain I feel is twice as much as hers. Because I, I lost two people in my life. My supposed man and my best friend.

I completely lost my appetite so I just took out all my orders, then hurried away.

While driving home I still couldn’t help but be sad about what happened. I was still in tears with the pain.

Don't cry just because of them, Charmane. they are not worth it for your tears. All you have to do now is move on. Moving on is the best way to feel better.

But it seems difficult. Especially when there are more years are at stake.

When I got home, I immediately locked myself in my room, then I again let out all the pain while remembering all the good things that happened.

Will it always be like this? God, my whole system and lifestyle is being affected.
